Chapter 23
Howell kept his eyes tightly closed, pretending not to hear.
However, tightly pursed thin lips revealed his thoughts.
After a long time, he slowly opened his eyes and spoke with a determined.
fone:
“I wouldn’t give up. Faye loved me for so long, as long as I persisted, she would one day be able to see my feelings, and maybe she would have a change of heart.”
Seeing him so determined, Stanley didn’t want to persuade him anymore. knowing that even if he did, he wouldn’t listen.
I could only let him go, anyway, he would regret it after hitting the south
wall.
He pulled up Alianna’s medical records and slowly began to speak, “Alianna’s kidney, which belonged to Faye, has been removed from her body and is currently being stored in the hospital. The Pearson family has now abandoned her, and she will likely have a difficult future in order to continue living through dialysis.”
Howell nodded in satisfaction and said, “Thank you very much.”
After expressing his gratitude, he directly pulled out the intravenous tube, took Faye’s kidney, organized some belongings, and set off for Sant Francisco again.
In San Francisco, all outdoor screens were playing Howell’s apology video simultaneously.
“Faye, I loved you, but unfortunately, by the time I realized it, it wast
already too late. I had hurt you too many times, but this apology is owed to you.”
“Sorry, I loved you.”
“Back when we were together. I have revisited every place we went to and have done everything you did when you loved me.”
“You see, new wishes have been added to the tree that belongs to you. I have also replaced the love lock on Love Locks Bridges. In the past, it was you who made wishes for me, but now I have filled a tree with wishes for you.”
“I also brought back your kidney; I won’t let it be wasted on someone meaningless. If you hate me for aborting our child, you can hit me, curse me. torture me, I can do it all to atone for our baby. Please, consider it as my plea, come back to me, Faye.”
In the video, a handsome man knelt down affectionately, holding a diamond ring in one hand and cradling a box containing a kidney in the
other.
Seeing this scene, Faye felt no trace of emotion in her heart. Instead, she found it somewhat ridiculous and disgusting
He had never fallen in love with her all those years ago, but now, only after seeing Alianna’s true face, he realized his love for her.
His love was really cheap and casual.
Disgust overflowed in Brigham’s eyes, “Faye, your kidney should not have remained in his hands, it truly defiled your organs.”
“I also think so, so we had to meet him.”
Faye furrowed her brows in annoyance.
In the compartment, Howell paced back and forth nervously. He looked at
the box on the table, knowing that his actions were despicable, but he had no other choice.
Brigham protected Faye too well and didn’t give him any chance to meet.
He could only use this method to force them to come and see him.
He knew it was wrong, and he would apologize.
Howell’s face was tense, and he tightly pursed his lips.
Suddenly, the compartment door was pushed open and Faye and Brigham walked in slowly, their faces equally cold.
“Sorry…” Howell had just started to apologize when Faye quickly interrupted.
“I didn’t come here to listen to your apology. The harm has already been done, and no matter how you apologize, it cannot undo the damage that has been caused. I am only here today to take my kidney back, and I will never forgive you.”
Her voice was calm and without a trace of ripples.
The light in Howell’s eyes extinguished inch by inch, as he bitterly tugged at his lips and said, “Faye, besides my kidneys, is it really that you don’t want to see me? I have hurt you, you don’t accept my apology, so how about hurting me back?”
“This was a knife, and you used it to stab me! I would have willingly died in your hands, at least it’s better than continuing to live as a walking dead. I can’t be without you, Faye!”
He approached Faye step by step, holding the sharp blade of a dagger, and handed the dagger to her.
Blood dripped down his hands, staining the ground red.
He, however, seemed to not feel any pain, holding Faye’s hand and driving the dagger into his own body.
“Howell, are you crazy?!”
Faye looked at this scene in disbelief and shouted angrily.
The dagger plunged into his abdomen, and fresh blood gushed out, glaring and perilous.
She wanted to let go of the dagger, but she was being controlled by Howell and couldn’t loosen her grip.
