Chapter 10
Chapter 10
Elijah bypassed her and carried Anna towards the master bedroom.
After putting Anna on the bed, he gently covered her with a blanket and carefully tidied up her messy hair.
Seeing him even lower his head gently and kiss her lips, Myla standing at the door looked even more puzzled.
Elijah whispered to Anna in bed, “Wife, I’m dirty with blood. I’ll take a shower and then come to accompany you.”
After saying that, he turned and went into the bathroom.
Myla saw his figure enter the bathroom, and then carefully stepped to the edge of the bed.
She carefully looked at Anna on the bed for a few moments before cautiously reaching out her finger and placing it at Anna’s nose.
In an instant, his face changed drastically, he suddenly withdrew his fingers and fell to the ground.
“No breath… dead! Really dead! That Elijah…”
She suddenly turned her head towards the direction of the bathroom.
Just then, Elijah had already cleaned himself up and walked out casually wrapped in a towel.
Seeing Myla sitting on the edge of the bed, his expression immediately turned grim: “What are you doing?”
Chapter 10
Myla trembled as she said, “Elijah, Ms. Legrand is already dead. You should take her to the funeral home instead of bringing her home… Ah!”
Her slender neck fell into Elijah’s hands in an instant.
The man’s cold and stern eyes locked onto her, with a ruthless killing intent in his gaze: “Shut up! How dare you curse my Anna? Even if you die, she’s still living well!”
“Cough… Elijah…” Myla was locked in place by his terrifyingly cold eyes, with no doubt that if she said the wrong thing again, he would surely tear her apart.
“I was wrong, I was wrong Elijah…”
She couldn’t breathe at all, feeling both pain and fear, tears rolling down her face nonstop.
Elijah then pushed her away and glanced at Anna on the bed.
“Go away! Don’t disturb Anna while she’s sleeping!”
With a look of post–traumatic fear, Myla scrambled out of the room.
As she closed the door, she saw Elijah go straight to bed and lie down.
next to Anna.
He held her close, as if Anna was just sleeping.
Myla watched the chilling scene and felt a shiver run down her spine.
That evening, Elijah arranged for a coffin to be delivered.
Everyone thought that Elijah was temporarily unable to accept Anna’s death, maybe he would be better the next day.
The next day, he went to work at the company as usual, and even brought Anna her favorite flowers when he got off work.
On the third day, he brought Anna the meal from her favorite restaurant.
On the fourth day, he personally went to the auction and bought several sets of jewelry for Anna.
Thinking of the corpse in the next room, Myla had nightmares for several nights in a row.
She tried to talk to Elijah several times, but the man treated her as if she were invisible, not even looking at her. When he got home, he went straight to the master bedroom, living with a corpse.
Myla couldn’t take it anymore. She couldn’t stand watching Elijah deceive himself like this, living each day sleeping next to a corpse.
She mustered up the courage and approached the master bedroom door, raising her hand to push it open.
In the room, Elijah was holding Anna in his arms on the big bed, leaning down to kiss her.
With one hand supporting Anna’s fingers, he placed it under his body and began moving
As the door opened, a man’s suppressed groan immediately came from inside the room, striking her cars like thunder.
Elijah was actually talking to a dead person…
Myla was shocked by the scene in front of her, took two steps back, fell to the ground, and exclaimed, “Ah!!! You’re crazy!”
