Anna looked up at him and asked, “Leaving?”
Kendall nodded, “While Elijah is trapped, we’ll take Lettie and find a new place to hide. Elijah has made a lot of enemies, I’ll try to contact his opponents and find a way to bring down the Tremblay family.”
Anna, however, was not so optimistic: “But the Tremblay family is so powerful, how could they be easily defeated?”
Kendall patiently explained.
“Elijah thought you had died, but he was saved from his suicide attempt. by his bodyguard. When he woke up, he blamed Myla and the Tremblay family for what had happened.”
“He tormented Myla every day, and even drove his father out of the Tremblay family. The internal strife within the Tremblay family, although now controlled by Elijah alone, is not the same as before. The family is starting to fall apart, with those people who have long been displeased with him now thinking about overthrowing him.”
“In addition, Elijah’s behavior was paranoid, and his actions were always too ruthless, offending many people, with many wanting to kill him.”
Anna looked up at Kendall and asked, “Is what you said true? You’re not just teasing me, right?”
In her heart, Elijah was too powerful.
He was like a huge net that covered her world, keeping her firmly in control, unable to breathe and nowhere to escape.

Kendall held her hand and nodded firmly, “Of course it’s true, when have I ever lied to you? Take Lettic to stay somewhere else for a while, and when I have sorted out Elijah’s situation, I will bring you back.”
Anna felt a little uncasy in her heart.
She couldn’t help but grab Kendall’s hand and asked, “Will you be in any danger like this?”
She still remembers the decisive and swift action when Elijah killed
Myla.
He was like a demon, clutching Anna’s soul and refusing to let go even in death.
Kendall patted her back reassuringly, “Don’t worry, you haven’t agreed to be with me yet, how could I easily get into trouble.”
Anna’s eyes flickered, and she tightly grabbed Kendall’s sleeve, saying, “Kendall, I promise you, as long as you come back safely, I will be with you.”
Kendall was taken aback, then looked at her with a face of excitement and asked, “Are you serious?”
Anna nodded, “Really.”
Even though she had not fallen in love with him yet.
But she hoped he was doing well.
She owed Kendall too much.
The next morning, Kendall arranged a car to take her and Laetitia to at
remote town.

He arranged for bodyguards to accompany the escort.
Everything had already been arranged, Anna just needed to settle in with Laetitia.
Kendall sent messages every day, and things were going smoothly.
Elijah was arrested by the police for murder and was later deported back to his country.
However, because Myla had first attempted to kill him, his actions were argued by the lawyer to be excessive self–defense.
He was ultimately sentenced to three years in prison, with a two–year suspended sentence.
During the time he was in prison, the Tremblay family took control of many of the Tremblay Group’s industries.
After he was released from prison, he was constantly busy and
overwhelmed. His business empire was shrinking rapidly, and he was almost at his wits‘ end.
Anna did not receive any harassing messages from him, which she should have been happy about.
However, as time passed, Anna’s uneasiness grew more and more intense, always feeling that something was wrong.
On that day, after playing in the park with Laetitia for a while, when I returned home and opened the door, the bodyguard was knocked
unconscious.
While Elijah sat on the sofa, he was looking at her and smiling.
He was covered in dust and dirt, looking disheveled like a dog that had

lost its home. However, his eyes were incredibly fierce, staring at her intently.
Elijah got up and slowly approached her, his voice hoarse as he smiled, like gravel scraping against her eardrums, causing her whole body to tremble.
Anna took two steps back, looking at him with despair in her eyes. “Why… why did you find me again… why can’t you just leave me alone…”
She and Kendall had already been very careful.
