Chapter 7
Elijah was at Myla’s birthday party.
The banquet was extremely grand, every detail exuded extravagance, and everywhere showed Elijah’s thoughtfulness towards Myla.
He doted on Myla so much that the news of him forcing Anna’s parents to death for her had long been spread.
He used to love Anna passionately, but now he is crazy for Myla.
While everyone secretly marveled at how fickle true feelings could be, they also complimented Myla, the new favorite, in unison.
Myla walked arm in arm with Elijah, a look of pride in her eyes, enjoying the admiration of the crowd.
Elijah’s gaze kept falling towards the direction of the front door.
The banquet was already halfway through, but Anna’s figure had not. appeared yet.
Elijah remembered Anna’s overly calm reaction when she was in the hospital, and a sharp pain suddenly surged in his chest.
Myla noticed Elijah glancing towards the door from time to time, and checking his watch. She pretended to be upset and asked, “Elijah, does Ms. Legrand still have a misunderstanding about me? Is she refusing to come to my birthday party?”
She lowered her gaze and positioned herself at her best angle facing Elijah.

“If she really can’t accept it, should we just forget about this treatment plan? Although I feel sorry for you, I also don’t want to see you and Ms. Legrand have any rift because of me…”
Myla kept talking to herself, but she didn’t notice the impatience that flashed in Elijah’s eyes.
Elijah said lightly, “Don’t worry, Anna and I won’t have any grudges because of you.”
Myla looked at him in confusion.
Elijah looked confident: “Anna loves me so much, she’s just being stubborn right now, she’s just throwing a little tantrum.”
Ever since Anna brought up the idea of breaking up five years ago, he has always had nightmares about her suggesting to leave again.
At one point, he even considered breaking her hands and feet, keeping her imprisoned by his side.
He wanted to polish away all of her temper, making her only able to revolve around himself, with only himself in her heart and eyes.
However, now Anna really only had him.
But his inner turmoil was even heavier.
He remembered the despair in Anna’s eyes when she found out in the hospital that she had lost the baby.
After all, her parents passed away and she lost her child. It is normal for her to feel low emotionally for a while.
He raised his hand and pinched Myla’s face: “Myla, give me a child.”

The tone was strong, leaving no room for any rebuttal.
Myla was stunned, but after a moment she was ecstatic.
Anna couldn’t give birth, Elijah made her give birth, could it be… he wants to marry her?!
She tried hard to control her expression, but couldn’t help but laugh,
I love you,
I tentatively saying, “Elijah, of course I’m willing. It’s just… I can follow you without a name or status to cure you, but I can’t let our child be born out of wedlock.”
The implication she hinted at was extremely clear.
His eyes fixed on Elijah, waiting for her to say that she would divorce Anna and marry him.
However, Elijah looked at her with a smile that was not quite a smile and said, “The child is certainly not a bastard.”
Myla’s eyes widened, filled with anticipation as she looked at her.
However, Elijah’s next words struck her down: “Anna loves children, she will take care of them as soon as they are born. She has always been. gentle and kind, she will definitely treat the child as her own.
Myla’s face immediately turned pale: “You said you want to give my child. to Anna?!”
Elijah’s eyes narrowed, the raised corner of his eye locking onto her as he spoke with a smirk, “What? Don’t want to?”
His eyes were extremely cold, and for a moment Myla felt as if she were being stared at by a venomous snake.
The words were on the tip of her tongue, but she didn’t dare to say them

easily.
She said with a pale face, “I… I am willing, of course.”
Elijah looked up and gently stroked her hair, saying, “Good girl.”
Myla shuddered, “But can the Tremblay family accept a woman who cannot bear children to continue being your Mrs. Tremblay?”
Elijah said coldly, “I have to accept it even if I don’t want to, I will not marry anyone else except Anna.”
