“Elijah wants you to come over,” Avery replied.
What does he want? Let me look at him and Zoey’s lovemaking? Eleanor thought.
Eleanor was furious and blurted out, “I’m already resting. Let Elijah mind his own business and drink more nutritious soup.”
With that, she lay back on the bed.
Outside the door, Avery was rejected and felt confused. He could only turn around and go to the study room that Siena had temporarily arranged for Elijah.
He said, “Elijah, Miss Brown said she would sleep.”
“Do you believe her?”
Elijah sat on a wooden chair by the window. He crossed his long legs and rested his chin on one hand while flipping through the contract.

Elijah thought, How strange. Did she care about me? The only man she cares about is Jaxen. She bore a grudge against me when I asked him to be on a business trip.
Avery went forward and reported truthfully, “She instructed you to drink more nutritious soup. Isn’t that because she’s cared about you?“.
Elijah looked up with a playful gaze and said, “Nutritious soup…”
The servants brought dinner into the room.
Eleanor did not want Zoey and Julian to know that she was injured, so she pretended that she had a cold and coughed. She asked the servant to send some anti–inflammatory medicine.
But without the burn ointment, the wound still hurt.
It was so painful that she had no appetite at all. She ate a little and sat by the window to admire the mountain scenery.
The mountain mist was hazy. It was very beautiful like painting, making her feel relaxed and happy.
Fortunately, after a short lovemaking, there was no more movement next door. Otherwise, she wouldn’t be able to admire this scenery happily.
Eleanor was engrossed when the light in the room went dark.
