I would take the evidence and contact a lawyer, to make sure this cheater and his mistress get nothing.
Chloe saw me taking photos, and she got nervous for a moment. She intuitively tried to grab my phone.
She held her belly as if this would make me think of her “pregnancy” and obediently handed over my phone.
I dodged quickly, and Chloe followed my movement to push me hard towards the table.
I hit the corner of the table, and in an instant, blood flowed from my leg.
Chloe’s anger flashed across her face. I fell down and felt a sharp pain in my abdomen. I got flustered and tried to take my phone.
Even though this child was not welcomed by its father, it was my child, and I didn’t want anything to happen to it.
Chloe sneered, and as I reached for my phone, she stepped on my hand, grinding it with force.
The pain was unbearable, and I shouted out.
Suddenly, there was a beep, and the smart lock on the door opened.
I looked up, and it was Astor returning.

When he saw this scene, the smile on his face turned into a look of panic.
Chloe finally showed a nervous expression. She stepped back, but quickly accused me. “Astor, she wanted to hurt our child. Thank goodness I was strong enough, or our child would be in danger.”
But Astor just pushed her away. His eyes got red, and he said, “Baby, are you OK? Don’t be scared. I’m taking you to the hospital now.”
When I woke up, I saw Astor’s exhausted face.
His eyes were red. Seeing me wake up, his tears welled up first, and he choked up. “Honey, you freaked me out.”
Aden stood by his side uneasily.
I looked at Astor. He was really good at acting. He pretended to love me so much.
I gently touched my belly. The pain flashed through Astor’s eyes. “We’ll have another baby.”
Hearing this, I suddenly laughed. “It’s just my baby is gone, and your baby is safely in her belly, right?”
Astor glanced at Aden, and Aden quickly said, “Kelsey, you misunderstood it. Chloe’s baby is mine. Astor has been covering for me.”
I was speechless.
I thought Astor would deceive me, but I never thought he would treat me like a fool.

Astor knew it was not convincing, so he quickly explained, “I know this is hard to believe, but you know Aden’s wife. She’s always jealous. She will kill Aden if she knows about his affair.
“Aden is my good friend, and he saved my life. I’m just repaying his kindness.”
Aden took out his phone, showing photos of him and Chloe. “Kelsey, we didn’t lie to you. Chloe is pregnant, so I asked Astor to take care of her.
“But Chloe did have some wrong thoughts. The last time at the hospital, I scolded her after you left. She said she just wanted me to be jealous and wanted me to divorce my wife and marry her.
“I didn’t agree, so she had a grudge against me. She used Astor against us. But Astor is kind. He knew my health condition. Actually, it’s hard for me to have a child, so Astor tolerated Chloe over and over.”
As he finished, Aden kneeled in front of me, slapping his face, and said, “It’s all my fault. Since I saved Astor’s life before, please spare Chloe this time.
“The baby Chloe carries might be the only child in my life. It’s important for my family.”
Astor grabbed Aden’s collar, hitting him a few times,
shouting, “Enough! Aden, I’ve been played by your tricks. My child is gone. How can you ask my wife to forgive Chloe?”
I watched their performance quietly.
I just thought they were so strange.
