“Anna, you’re so cruel!”
Mom shoved me hard; my back hit the desk
corner.
“A woman’s reputation is everything! How
could you slander her like this?”
Amy sobbed. “Mom, I’ve always been good!
She’s jealous of me, of my marriage into the
Beaumont family.”
Mom desperately wanted Amy to marry into
wealth, so she could benefit.
“SLAP!”
Mom slapped me. Her eyes were fierce.
“Anna, you’re disgusting! Are you that jealous
of your sister?”
“I’ll have Mr. Beaumont here to teach you a
lesson!”
The slap was unexpected, burning my cheek.
“I have a medical report,” I said coldly.
Mom didn’t believe me. “Shut up! You just
<
want to hurt your sister!”
She tried to hit me again, but I pushed her
away.
Then, Mr. Beaumont and his entourage
arrived. He was the wealthy heir. In my past
life, Amy married him, and her secret was
discovered.
Mom fawningly approached him.
“Mr. Beaumont, my Amy’s your fiancée. She’s
only twenty, she’s never had a boyfriend, and
someone’s lying about her virginity!”
“You must punish her!”
Beaumont’s eyes blazed. Mom was ruthless.
“Mr. Beaumont…”
I tried to explain, but one of Beaumont’s men
kicked me to the ground. I couldn’t speak
from the pain.
Amy beamed, going to Beaumont.
“Thank you for helping me, Alex.”
Beaumont was known for being good to his
girlfriends, but he demanded virginity. He
believed Amy was a virgin and was protective
of her. I wouldn’t explain. Not yet.
