He was still handling company matters and answered casually.

Ryan came out after washing the fruit, and Jasper immediately told him to leave.
He looked confused.
“Dad, I’ll head back to school then.”
For my sake, don’t bully Sara.
“She’s actually quite well–behaved.”

“Get out now. Unless you don’t want your allowance anymore?”
“Fine, I’m out!”
Ryan ran off quickly.
Not long after, Ryan sent me a message.
“What should I do? My dad still doesn’t like you.”
“It’s okay. You do your best, and I’ll work harder too. I believe my dad will change his opinion about you.”

Is he out of his mind?
Jasper is a completely despicable capitalist.
Even while getting an IV at the hospital, he didn’t forget to make demands, teaching me how to prepare reports and what key points to include.
After completing these tasks, he sent me downstairs to print documents.
When he works, he’s completely focused on work, showing no consideration even for family members.
Just as I walked out, I ran into Ryan again, talking with his father’s emergency doctor at the nurses‘ station.

“Uncle Blake, my dad’s condition isn’t serious, right?”

Oh, Jasper knows this Dr. Blake, so it’s not surprising Ryan knows him too.

I initially thought they were just discussing Jasper’s condition as I happened to pass by.
Ryan called out to me.
“Sara.”
“What?”
“Nothing.”
What a freak.
When I returned after printing, they were still chatting.
“Is that Sara your girlfriend?”
“Yes, Uncle Blake. Do you think she seems a bit silly but quite cute?”

“Ryan, as your girlfriend’s doctor, I should warn you. Don’t try those strange positions you see online, and exercise moderation. How could you exhaust your girlfriend to the point of visiting the emergency room?”
“She went to the ER, and you, as her boyfriend, didn’t even show up? What a jerk.”
Hearing this, Ryan stood there dumbfounded.
“Uncle Blake, what do you mean by visiting the emergency
room?”
“Your girlfriend came to the ER last month because of what you did.”

“Last month? Which day?”
Ryan asked again.
“Is this how doctors disclose patient privacy?”
