Harry Lee arrived at the hospital where I was as quickly as possible.
But no matter how hard he searched,
he couldn’t find me.
He inquired at the hospital, but they only told him that I had already left.
Not giving up, he called a friend.
His friend only said they saw me enter the operating room two hours prior.
After making a scene at the hospital to no avail, he returned to his mother’s house.
Ignoring his mother, who was drinking tea in the living room, he rushed to the second floor of
the villa.
But he searched every room.
I was nowhere to be found.
A terrible premonition swirled in his heart.
No matter how he looked, there was no trace of me left in the house.
“Mom, where’s Tracy?”
He was so anxious that he broke out in a cold sweat.
Unlike his anxious demeanor, his mother sat calmly on the sofa.
“Tracy Wyatt has already had an abortion and left the city.”
“She asked me to give this to you.”
She put down her teacup and picked up the divorce agreement from the table.
Harry Lee’s eyes widened in disbelief upon seeing those words.
As if she had a premonition,
Last night, he suddenly felt a strong urge to call me.
But he couldn’t get through, no matter what he tried.
He awoke from a nightmare, only to find the person beside him was not me.
A feeling of unease threatened to consume him.
For the first time, he ignored Vivian Chow’s entreaties.
He abandoned her at the airport and resolutely came to find me.
But little did he know, he was already too late.
Because I had already undergone the abortion surgery and gone directly to the train station
with my luggage.
“No, Tracy wouldn’t leave me, and she wouldn’t abort our child,”
He practically roared as he said this.
It was as if he were venting all his unease and panic.
He snatched the divorce agreement and tore it to shreds.
His mother slowly rose, looking at Harry Lee, who had already made such a terrible misty
“Harry, if you had remembered, even for a moment these past few months, that Tracy is your

wife…
“…she wouldn’t have left so resolutely.”
A soul–piercing question.
He hung his head low.
It was indeed too late, and the mistake was far too egregious.
No one willingly endures such hurt, and I am not obligated to fulfill his wishes by remaining
here.
He has no one to blame but himself for my departure.
I can only blame his obsession for driving him to commit such an unforgivable act.
Harry Lee stumbled and ran out of the door.
He went to the villa where we had lived for three years.
Unfortunately, it was now completely occupied by Vivian Chow’s parents.
He didn’t know where to find me.
Even worse, he didn’t know if he could ever win me back.
He ran frantically, as if to vent his emotions.
In the silent night, he seemed like a complete madman.
Finally, he sat dejectedly by the street, the only sound his helpless panting.
He called my phone again and again.
Predictably, I received only repetitive, emotionless, mechanical replies.
The phone number he knew, from when he left yesterday,
Had already been snapped in half and thrown into the trash.
And now, I’ve boarded the plane that will carry me to freedom.
No lingering attachments, no burdens.
Only the man I needed to escape at all costs.
Just as I once loved him, at all costs.
The long flight didn’t make me feel tired, even after my recent surgery.
Instead, I felt relieved and relaxed.
When the plane finally landed, a genuine smile appeared on my face.
I haven’t smiled like that once in months.
I used to think the worst thing was losing the person I loved most.
But now I realize the worst thing….
…is compromising everything because you love someone too much. Fortunately, I’m not in love anymore.
My wonderful life starts again now.
