Chapter 11
If Carolyn had not taken care of him all along, he might not have lived to see this day.
At that time, Carolyn smirked at him and said, “Including this time, I saved your life twice.”
He wanted to ask more at that time, but Alana’s phone call came and interrupted his thoughts.
Dylan was infuriated when he realized he had been deceived for a whole twelve years!
He took big strides and walked into the adjacent guest bedroom, shaking the sleeping Alana awake.
In Alana’s hazy gaze, Dylan threw the photo of “Soundless” in her face. and his big hand gripped her delicate neck: “Alana, how dare you deceive me?”
Just a second, ago, Alana was still groggy, she looked at the furious Dylan. in front of her, vaguely guessing something, and hastily picked up the scattered photos on the bed.
At the sight of this, after her panic, her eyes filled with intense jealousy, forgetting to conceal it!.
“It’s impossible, Carolyn, a terrible woman like her, how could she be the ‘Soundless‘ master!”
Back in the day, “Soundless,” although only sixteen years old, was already one of the top–notch talents among the Boston racers.
Dylan approached Alana, his dark eyes burning with fierce flames.
“I confirmed it, Carolyn is indeed ‘Soundless‘, and ‘Soundless‘ is Carolyn!”
“Alana! You deceived me so badly!”
Back in the day at the racetrack, “Soundless” competed alongside him.
That day, his racing car was unexpectedly set on fire by his enemy’s design. “Soundless,” who was supposed to cross the finish line first, abandoned the million–dollar prize and turned around, risking danger to save him.
When “Soundless” rescued him at that time, he arrogantly lifted his chin and said, “Hey, I saved you, remember to repay me!”
He remembered this favor for a whole twelve years!
But who would have thought, he repaid the favor to the wrong person!
With this in mind, Dylan coldly pushed away the weeping Alana and sternly issued the order: “Alana, you move back to the Ricard’s house
now!”
Dylan ignored Alana’s pleas and had William chase the person away.
Immediately, he dialed his assistant’s phone number with a gloomy expression on his face, speaking in a cold tone.
“Look up the incident where Alana was kidnapped, and also the party that day…”
A certain airport in France.
The plane landed, and Carolyn took out a hat and put it on, covering the medical bandage on her head.
At the exit, Leslie and Terrell had been waiting early.
Standing beside the two of them was a stranger, dressed in a gray suit and
with a remarkably handsome appearance.
It had been a long time since Leslie had seen her daughter, and her kind. face was filled with unmistakable joy.
“Come, Carol, let me introduce you. This is Colin Rioux.”
Carolyn carefully examined her fiancé.
The warm light fell on him, outlining his sleek and delicate features.
The man’s thin lips tightened, with a faint smile at the corner of his mouth, but inexplicably giving off a sense of detachment.
“Hello, I was Carolyn.”
Carolyn spoke softly.
Colin’s dark eyes narrowed slightly as he scrutinized her, his sharp gaze landing on the hat on her head before he finally spoke after a while.
“Colin, you were my fiancé.”
An hour later, a black car slowly drove up to the entrance of city hall.
Adrian and Sydnee had been waiting outside city hall early.
Sydnee Durham met Carolyn, and her face couldn’t hide the smile.
The daughter–in–law chosen by her son was tall and slim, with fair and tender skin. She looked much more beautiful in person than in the photos, clearly indicating that she had been well taken care of since childhood.
Sydnee became more and more satisfied as she continued to look.
So, she gracefully took off the jade bracelet from her wrist and said, “Carol. this was given to me by Colin’s grandmother when I married his father. Now, I am passing it on to you.”
Chapter 11
Carolyn immediately noticed the quality of the jade bracelet and was somewhat taken aback.
Just as I was about to refuse, Colin’s thin lips slightly parted and he whispered, “It’s a token of my mother’s affection, please accept it.”
Carolyn finally felt relieved and accepted it. Adrian Rioux, who was standing beside her, spoke up, “I had the secretary transfer a portion of the Rioux family’s shares to your name, Carol.”
