Chapter 16
Alana completely lost consciousness, while Dylan nonchalantly raised his head, his eyes filled with malice: “Send her back to the Ricard’s house.”
Just as Alana had left, Sheryl arrived at the villa.
She looked at Dylan, who had a gloomy expression on the sofa, and said with a not–so–good look, “There is some bad news, and you need to be prepared.”
“Carolyn probably won’t come back, I found out that she is getting married.”
“The woman Carolyn, whom Colin, the youngest of the Rioux family, was going to marry, is your ex–girlfriend Carolyn!”
Dylan’s dark eyes turned cold, and he angrily exclaimed, “It’s impossible!”
Seeing Dylan’s disbelief, Sheryl took out a photo to show him, saying, “This was taken by the paparazzi.”
In the photo, Colin and Carolyn had lunch together.
Colin tenderly held a handkerchief and gently wiped the oil stains off Carolyn’s face.
“Is she over there? I will book a flight now to go and find her.”
Sheryl suddenly grabbed him and reminded, “Lately, you’ve been completely focused on Carolyn, haven’t you paid attention to the business matters? The Rioux family snatched that
watch of goods at a high price at
the dock, it should be a warning to you.”
“Dylan, have you thought it through and are you sure you want to declare
war on the Rioux family for Carolyn‘?”
Dylan hung his head low, his handsome face filled with agony.
It took a while before he finally whispered, “Sister, without her, I would have gone crazy,”
Sheryl sighed and did not persuade him anymore.
At the same time, Carolyn began to take over the Sutton family.
In the first few days after taking over, Carolyn was always leaving carly and coming home late, she was simply overwhelmed with work.
Luckily, she was quite intelligent, and with Colin’s guidance, she quickly got into the groove.
Carolyn sorted out the Sutton
years and quickly discovered business dealings over the past few
Several projects that brought down the Sutton family were all related to subsidiary companies of the Brassard family branch.
As Carolyn was analyzing one by one, Colin happened to walk into the office with his lunchbox.
Seeing Carolyn’s pale face, Colin frowned and asked with concern, “What’s wrong? Why do you look so unwell?”
Carolyn pointed to several contracts on the table and said, “I can’t understand why Dylan’s uncles, aunts, and some other relatives would want to harm us, the Sutton family.”
Colin picked up the contract and went through it one by one. His face slightly darkened, “The Brassard family has always enjoyed internal conflicts. They probably thought you would marry Dylan, which is why they came up with this plan to ruin the Sutton family.”
After a pause, he continued, “In theory, the Sutton family has been going through a tough time in recent years, and Dylan must be aware of it, but it seems like he hasn’t been paying attention to the Sutton family.”
Alana chuckled self–deprecatingly.
Dylan’s attention was fully focused on Alana over the years.
Even when Alana went abroad, he still sent money on time.
He had no other thoughts to care about the Sutton family.
“However, this also indicates that my parents‘ decision was not wrong.”
Colin spent the afternoon analyzing the Sutton family’s investment data with Carolyn.
After thoroughly understanding, Carolyn finally breathed a sigh of relief.
“Tomorrow afternoon, shall we go to take wedding photos?” Colin invited.
“The day after tomorrow, I have an appointment with someone to discuss. cooperation.”
“Okay.”
These days, Carolyn and I had a pleasant time together.
The man had a very high emotional intelligence, and there was no hint of disguise in his eyes when it came to his liking for her.
This comfortable feeling, stronger than the countless times she had selflessly given in front of Dylan in the past.
At the same time, Dylan arrived in the city where Carolyn was.
As soon as he landed, he immediately had someone investigate Carolyn’s
current status.
In the evening. Dylan looked at the information in his hand, his handsome face unusually gloomy.
According to the survey data, Carolyn and Colin were currently living together.
The two of them left together in the morning and came back together in the evening, almost inseparable.
Dylan looked through the information several times and suddenly threw the documents onto the desk.
Fortunately, it was not mentioned that they got married.
He had a chance.
