Chapter 17
It makes sense, it has only been a few days, Carolyn wouldn’t be so impulsive.
At present, Dylan found the president of the Chaney Group, Payton Chaney, and made a deal with him.
When Payton went to the Sutton Group tomorrow to discuss cooperation, he also brought him along. In the future, he would support the development of the Chaney Group in the country.
The next morning, Dylan deliberately put on a handsome gray suit and dressed up from head to toe.
He looked in the mirror several times, making sure everything was perfect before leaving. The Sutton Group, Carolyn finished the morning meeting.
The secretary reminded, “Ms. Sutton, Mr. Chaney scheduled a meeting at ten o’clock, and he is waiting for you in the small conference room.”
“Okay.”
Carolyn sipped a cup of black coffee, picked up the documents on the table, and walked towards the small conference room.
In the meeting room, Dylan sat nervously.
He looked at the photo of Carolyn on his phone screensaver, his dark eyes filled with nostalgia.
Soon, a sound of high heels came from outside the door, and the conference room door slowly opened.
Dylan felt as if the whole world had become quiet, eagerly gazing at the

woman in front of him.
She wore a black professional suit dress, with her hair neatly pinned up, and a gentle and determined smile on her face.
“Carol!”
Carolyn furrowed her eyebrows, not having realized yet, when she was directly embraced by the man in front of her, a hint of mint scent walling towards her nose.
Dylan tightly embraced her, his voice trembling, “Carol, I finally found
you!”
Carolyn, impatient, was about to push him away when Colin, who had come early to deliver fruits, pulled Dylan away first.
The next second, Colin pulled Carolyn behind him.
He looked at Dylan, a cold glint flashing in his sharp black eyes, emitting a dangerous aura: “Dylan, after all the harm you have done to Carolyn, how dare you show your face in front of her?”
Dylan stood there for a few seconds, about to explain that he had mistaken the person from the beginning, but Carolyn, with a cold expression, said, “Wait, Colin, let me clear the scene first.”
This was the Sutton Group, and this floor had its employees.
She didn’t want her personal affairs to be known to everyone.
Carolyn looked at Payton, who had been silent all along, with a cold. expression on her face and said, “Mr. Chaney, from now on, there will be no more business dealings between the Sutton family and the Chaney family. You may leave, and there’s no need to see us off.”
Colin’s face turned cold: “The Rioux family would withdraw their cooperation with the Chaney family, and they bid them farewell without

any further assistance.”
Payton’s face turned pale.
The secretary then made a gesture of request.
Soon, only Carolyn, Colin, and Dylan were left in the office.
Dylan looked at Carolyn, who was sitting next to Colin.
His gaze fell on Carolyn’s cold little face, and his heart felt as if it had been grabbed by a hand, causing intense pain.
The previous Carolyn used to look at him gently, with love filling her watery eyes.
Dylan thought for a long time before finally saying, “Carol, I had already reprimanded Alana, will you come back?”
Colin scoffed lightly.
The Brassard family members were indeed shameless, how could they have the audacity to seek reconciliation?
Carolyn looked at him coldly and said, “We have ended it, and I’m sure you have seen the farewell letter as well.”
With red eyes, Dylan asked unwillingly, “Do you not love me at all now?”
“None left.”
Carolyn looked at him expressionlessly and replied calmly.
“I didn’t want to love you anymore since I found out that you were hiding from me that I donated my bone marrow to Alana.”
The following seven days were my desensitization phase. When I wrote the farewell letter, I no longer wanted to see you ever again.

Upon careful consideration, Dylan was the first man she loved with all her might.
