Dominik’s first love, Aliana Foster, came back five years of our marriage.
That was when the cracks in our marriage began to show.
He would stand me up now and then.
The first time was on the day I won a design award. He said he’d throw me a celebration.
But then, Aliana called, and he left.
The second time was my birthday. The candles were lit, I hadn’t even made a wish yet.
Aliana called again, and he rushed to her.
The third time was on Valentine’s night.
I waited in our reserved private room for four hours.
He never showed up. Later, I saw Aliana’s Instagram post.
Dominik and Aliana were watching the stars on the bridge.
The fourth time was on our wedding anniversary.
That night, I sat alone in the nursing home when I got a text message from
Aliana.
After reading it, I walked straight into the operating room and had an abortion.
I took back my love for Dominik.
Because only when I loved him could he hurt me so freely.
Now I didn’t, and he meant nothing to me.
The abortion didn’t hurt at all.
Once the anesthesia kicked in, I drifted into a short sleep on the operating
table.
Before I fell asleep, I heard the surgeon let out a sigh, “She looks perfect. on the outside, but she’s really pathetic.”
The nurse snickered, “Pathetic? The unloved wife is the real
homewrecker. Elsa stole Dominik’s love from Aliana. She brought this on
herself.”
Did I bring this on myself?
Maybe. After what happened last night, everyone knew that Dominik
n’t love me.

It was our fifth wedding anniversary, and also the ninety–ninth day of my
pregnancy.
Dominik had planned a grand celebration.

The banquet was packed with people, all big shots in New York.
I was in a custom–made dress, walking into the banquet hall with Dominik, who was all decked out in a suit.
A custom ten–layer cake was rolled out, and champagne was ready.
Just as we were about to cut the cake, Aliana walked in.
Aliana was my cousin, and her romance with my husband Dominik wast no secret five years ago.
Back then, Dominik and Aliana were the perfect couple at New York University. They were always lovey–dovey, showing off their relationship.
Dominik did all kinds of grand gestures for her. He lit up the tallest building in New York with a light show to confess his love.
He arranged a drone firework show for her birthday. He even caught a thousand fireflies just to see her smile.
In short, Dominik and Aliana’s love was like a romantic movie, intense and spectacular.
Everyone thought Dominik would marry Aliana, but the result was jaw- dropping.
