Chapter 17 He’s Your Brother
1/8
After lunch, Kyle and Nathan brought Brianna to Class 8, Grade.
- 11.
The class monitor, Gianna Wilson, spotted them at the door and immediately rushed back into the room.
“Sabrina, wake up!” She shook Sabrina roughly, the kind of rude. jostle that could wake the dead.
Sabrina had been napping, and the abrupt shake jolted her awake. She stared blankly at Gianna.
She wasn’t mad, just staring blankly, but that cool, detached look in her eyes sent a shiver down Gianna’s spine. For a moment, Gianna fumbled, unsure what to say.
It took a long moment before Sabrina finally spoke.
“You’re interrupting my nap.”
Her tone was icy like she was talking to a stranger she had no intention of ever meeting again.
Gianna shifted awkwardly, clearly feeling a little hurt. She pointed toward the window and said, with a pitiful pout, “Someone’s looking for you.”
Sabrina followed her gaze and instantly rolled her eyes.
Chapter 17 He’s Your Brother
She had already cut ties with the Sterling family. The entire school knew that. So if this girl was still running errands for them, there was no way she had good intentions.

“Can’t you see I’m sleeping? I’m not going.” Her refusal was flat and firm.
Gianna hadn’t expected her to be so blunt. She looked stunned, almost on the verge of tears.
“Why are you being like this? That’s really hurtful.”
Sabrina almost laughed at the absurdity. She snorted, “Wow. You’re being way too fragile, aren’t you?”
“What?” Gianna was clearly confused.
With a cold sneer, Sabrina replied, “I don’t even know you. What kind of attitude do you think I’m supposed to have?”
She leaned back lazily, expression unreadable. “Do I owe you some kind of respect?”
Gianna looked like she’d just been slapped. “You don’t know who I am?”
She and Sabrina were in the same class, and she was the academic representative class monitor.
Gianna felt her pride shatter into pieces.

“Who are you again?” Sabrina genuinely had no idea who the girl was.
The class around them erupted into laughter.
Sabrina couldn’t care less. She slumped back down and went. right back to sleep.

Gianna stood there seething, biting her lip, then turned to the window and helplessly shook her head at the people outside as if to say, “I tried.”
Outside the classroom, Kyle was growing impatient. He shoved the door open and walked in with the others.
Without warning, he picked up a thick book from a nearby desk and hurled it straight at Sabrina.
Sabrina’s eyes snapped open. She stood up just as the book struck her temple.
The spine sliced open her skin.
Blood trickled down her cheek, sharp and vivid.
“Oh my, she’s bleeding!” someone screamed.
Sabrina, however, didn’t flinch. Her calm was terrifying.
She should’ve been furious. But her face was blank as if the injury were nothing but a scratch.

Even when she wasn’t smiling, Sabrina never looked aggressive. She didn’t have the face of someone who’d lash out.
But then, something no one expected happened.
Without a word, she drove her foot straight into Kyle’s chest with brutal force.
He hadn’t seen it coming.
The blow knocked him back hard, and he crashed into the edge. of a desk behind him, grimacing in pain.
Sabrina just smiled.
“I already cut ties with the Sterling family. If you come harassing me again, I’ll beat you every single time.”
Kyle gasped, struggling to breathe. Before he could react, Sabrina raised her foot and stomped down on his chest hard. She twisted her heel with a terrifying force, grinding him into
the floor.
“Maybe that’ll help you learn your lesson.”
Her voice was calm, almost gentle, but the motion of her fool was anything but. It was like she wanted to crush him beneath
her shoe.
Kyle tried to push her away, using every ounce of strength, but he couldn’t even budge her.

At that moment, he finally understood just how much Sabrina hated him.
She’d moved so fast that no one had time to react.
No one had imagined that the usually quiet, composed girl would suddenly turn violent.
Nathan and Brianna were frozen in shock.
“Let him go!” Nathan finally rushed over and pulled her foot away. This time, Sabrina didn’t resist. She let him move her.
“Kyle, are you okay?”
Nathan helped him sit up, then turned to Sabrina with a furious. glare. “Sabrina, are you out of your mind? He’s your brother!”
Sabrina glanced at Kyle with obvious disgust and clicked her tongue.
“Call me names if you want, but don’t say something like that. It makes me want to puke.”
Kyle coughed, his chest throbbing from the stomp, the words stinging even more.
Nathan’s face darkened. At that moment, he realized Sabrina really had changed.
Seeing their stunned expressions made Sabrina feel damn good.

She’d have enjoyed it even more if Brianna hadn’t opened her mouth again.
“Sabrina, how could you hit Kyle?”
Brianna put on her usual pitiful act like she was just standing up for her poor brother.
This girl really doesn’t know when to shut up.
She was about to retort when Nathan suddenly stepped in front of Brianna, blocking her protectively.
He looked at Sabrina warily. “You owe Brianna an apology.”
Sabrina raised a brow, her eyes narrowing as she looked at the pair. “So, what crime are you trying to pin on me this time?”
She’d lost count of how many times she’d been falsely accused because of Brianna. She knew this routine by heart.
Nathan scoffed, then raised his voice deliberately. “You cheated on the exam and stole Brianna’s first–place ranking. Don’t you think you should apologize for that?”
He was shouting, clearly making sure the whole class could hear.
Instantly, everyone turned to look at Sabrina.
Truth be told, lots of students had been skeptical ever since she ranked first.
Chapter 17 He’s Your Brother
Rumors of cheating had been floating around for days.

Now that someone had said it out loud, others were quick to join in.
Sabrina let out a short, sharp laugh. Suddenly, everything made
sense.
“So that’s what this is about. The exam.” She sneered. “Brianna, you really haven’t changed a bit.”
she’s still using the same dumb tactics, letting her little pawns do the dirty work.
“I didn’t do anything!” Brianna blinked, tears falling from her cheeks.
Sabrina was genuinely impressed by how easily she could cry on command.
Sabrina ignored her. Instead, she stood up tall and faced the class, raising her voice so everyone could hear.
“I didn’t cheat. You all know the exam room had cameras. The school admins aren’t idiots. They would’ve reviewed everything before posting the scores. They’ve got zero tolerance for
cheating. If I’d done it, not only would my score be scrapped, I’d be facing punishment right now.”
Her words hit home. A few people began to second–guess
themselves.

Still, some weren’t convinced.
“You were always at the bottom of the class. And now, out of nowhere, you’re number one? That makes no sense,” Nathan. snapped.

Someone else chimed in, “Yeah, Sabrina, we’ve all seen your past grades. No one just jumps from dead last to first in a month.”
“We’ll believe you if you can prove it.”
“Proof? Fine,” Sabrina said calmly. She pulled out her phone and dialed a number.
The call connected almost immediately.
Without any pleasantries, she said into the phone, “Can you come to the school? I’ve got a situation. I need you to testify for me.”
