Chapter 43
Zachary looked up, and despite the crowded bar, his eyes immediately found Sarah’s booth.
Several men were closing in on her with obvious ill intent.
A flicker of coldness passed through his otherwise composed expression.
The commotion at Sarah’s table had drawn attention, but no one dared intervene. These thugs were notorious in the area, and nobody wanted trouble.
The leader leered at Sarah and Scarlett with a sleazy grin. “Ladies, don’t make this harder than it needs to be. Ask around about Scarface’s reputation. Stick with me, and you’ll be living the good life!”
As he spoke, Scarface reached out to touch Sarah’s face.
Sarah’s eyes turned sharp as she seized his thick wrist in her delicate hand.
Despite being over six feet tall, Scarface found himself immobilized by pain, his face contorting.
“You bit–agh! Ow, ow, ow!”
He couldn’t even finish his insult before howling in pain.
Damn, what kind of woman had this strength?
“Leave.” Sarah didn’t want to cause trouble at the new bar, so she released him with a single cold word.
Scarlett, perfectly in sync, smoothly pulled out a wet wipe and handed it to Sarah with a smile.
Sarah took it and, in front of the thugs, deliberately wiped her hands with obvious disgust, even cleaning between her fingers.
Humiliated and enraged, Scarface shouted at his men, “What are you idiots standing around for? Am I paying you to do nothing? Grab these girls! We’ll teach them some manners tonight!”
Still trying to play tough?
Sarah’s brows furrowed, but her eyes sparkled with anticipation.
Perfect timing – she’d been looking for a way to release her frustration. These guys would make excellent punching bags!
Scarface lunged at her with a raised fist.
Sarah simply sidestepped and delivered a sharp knee to his stomach, dropping him instantly. Seeing this, his men finally reacted,
charging at her with raised fists.
They thought they could take on one girl together they were wrong.

Starlight Bar was buzzing!
Videos of a beautiful woman beating up thugs on opening night went viral before she’d even finished teaching them their lesson.
Before Sarah could fully enjoy herself, the police arrived.
She stopped; right on cue.
The officers glanced at the familiar faces sprawled on the floor – they’d dealt with these troublemakers before.
“Who called the police?” the lead officer asked, scanning the crowd.
“I did.”
A deep, magnetic voice responded.
Sarah froze, looking up to see Zachary’s handsome face.
Zachary? What was he doing here?
Steven stood beside Zachary, enthusiastically waving hello to Sarah.
He couldn’t understand his boss’s thinking. It had been a perfect chance to play hero, but instead, Zachary had watched from afar, calmly called the police, and even stopped Steven from helping.
It was almost as if… as if he’d known all along that Sarah could handle herself.
