She walked briskly out of the ward, seemingly afraid that I would be bored before she left, and even turned on the television.
On the television news, the plane crash that happened two days ago was being reported.
However, the journalist’s mouth opened and closed, and the content of the report turned out to be no casualties.
I was suddenly startled in my heart.
No casualties.
What am I then? I don’t know if I have been unconscious for too long, but as soon as I got up, I felt dizzy.
In the midst of dizziness, the doctor who rushed over supported me.
“Are you okay? It was a fishing boat that rescued you at sea. Do you remember your family’s phone number? I can help you notify them.”
I opened my mouth and after a while, I spoke out Brandon’s phone number.
I didn’t really want to contact him, but he is indeed my last relative in the world.
The doctor took out his phone, looked at me with sympathy, and put it on speakerphone..
On the other end of the phone, Brandon’s slightly hoarse voice came through
“Who are you looking for?”
Apart from his voice, there was also a woman’s coquettishness faintly heard on the phone.
“Brandon, my feet still hurt.”
Brandon chuckled lightly, as if he had picked up something
“You delicate soul, who allowed you to be so careless? Let me apply medicine for you.”
The doctor, listening to the couple’s flirtatious banter, rolled his eyes and coughed lightly to interrupt.
“You are Brandon, right? Your wife Sienna was at Sealine Hospital.”
Then, I heard Jasmine’s scream, the sound of something being knocked over, and Brandon’s questioning without any clear meaning
“After the plane crashed, the kerosene leaked and caused a self–ignition, burning everything to ashes. Yet, you tell me that Sienna is still alive?
“Who are you exactly, and what is your purpose!”
Chapter 4
I calmly took his phone from his increasingly grim face, and spoke indifferently.
“He was the doctor who saved my life.
“Brandon, I didn’t die, are you disappointed?
Brandon’s voice, which was full of questioning just a moment ago, suddenly got stuck in his throat. After a long silence, he nervously lowered his voice.
“Sienna, don’t disclose any information about your well–being to the public for now.”
“I, I have something to ask you, can I come to see you later?”
After saying that, Brandon decisively hung up the phone.
The doctors and nurses stood speechless, then simultaneously pointed to the television behind them.
“Brandon, was your husband the pilot of the crashed plane?
