Chapter 76
“Let’s not discuss that matter anymore. I’m looking into it. As for the sponsorship, I doubt she has what it takes to keep Zachary
helping her,” James said darkly, his expression souring further as he recalled what he’d seen at St. Ritz that day.
At St. Ritz Hotel.

A pleasant ringtone interrupted Sarah’s conversation. She answered it was someone from the activities department, anxiously
discussing the sponsorship situation.
Sarah hadn’t expected the Chancer family to go so far as to warn most of East Coast’s prominent families against sponsoring
them.
The university board remained deliberately ignorant of the situation – after all, no one would risk offending the Chancer family
for a teacher’s sake.
Even those who weren’t afraid of the Chancers saw no reason to get involved.
“Alright, I’ll figure something out.”
Sarah hung up, her brow furrowing.
Zachary placed a slice of beef on her plate, asking with concern: “What’s wrong? Who called?”
“It’s nothing,” Sarah shook her head.
She already owed Zachary too many favors and didn’t want to add more.
Mia finished her chicken leg and checked her phone. “I know why Sarah’s worried!”
Sarah glanced at Mia’s phone and quickly covered the screen. “It’s fine, I can handle this.”
Worst case, she’d sponsor it herself.
Zachary’s expression darkened. “Sasa, are you hiding something from me?”
Mia jumped in: “Zac! Someone’s sabotaging Sarah’s competition. The Chancer family refusing to sponsor is one thing, but
they’re stopping others from sponsoring too! It’s terrible – must be Lucy’s doing!”
Suddenly, Mia looked at her brother, her expression brightening. “Sarah, why look elsewhere for sponsorship when we have someone right here?”
Zachary’s lips curved into a slight smile, his gaze intensifying as he waited for Sarah to speak.
Sarah studied Zachary thoughtfully before finally saying, “Would Mr. Reynolds be willing to sponsor the competition? I’m sure it
would enhance the Reynolds Group’s reputation.”
She spoke without much conviction – the Reynolds Group’s prominence needed no promotion; it was already East Coast’s crown

Still, she had her reasons for asking. Having the board sponsor would lend credibility, especially the influential Reynolds Group.
“Of course. The Reynolds Group could use some publicity – thanks for the opportunity, Sasa.”
“But Mr. Reynolds, usually the sponsor presents the awards at the finals. Will you have time?”
Mia cut in, “Of course he’ll have time! Zac, I’m competing too! I’ll definitely win first place, and you can present my award!”
“Then Sasa will have to take good care of Mia,” Zachary said, placing another piece of meat in Sarah’s bowl.
“Mia is already wonderful,” Sarah praised generously.
When all the dishes were served, Steven waved, “No discount this time!”
Zachary ignored him as usual while Mia ate happily.
After they finished, Zachary went to pay the bill.
On the drive back, Mia dozed in the back seat, full and content, while Sarah sat in front.
Zachary glanced at her wrist, noting the bracelet he’d given her, tenderness flickering in his eyes.
