Chapter 95
“Miss Sanders, this is a serious matter. Perhaps you should try to gather more information first. After all, there are still a few
days before the competition,” Dean said hesitantly. Although he was the dean of the universityl, the board of directors held the ultimate authority.
“I understand, Sir,” Sarah replied, her expression heavy with concern. The Chancer family had really pushed her into a corner
this time.
After leaving the principal’s office, she headed to the psychology consultation room, where Mia was waiting for her.
“Sarah, I’ve already heard everything. What should we do now?” Mia asked, worry written all over her face.
Sarah gave a bitter smile. “The only thing I can do is try contacting Jane Lawrence again.”
She had included one of her own research papers with the materials she’d submitted to Jane, aligning with Jane’s latest research
direction. But what if Jane hadn’t seen it?
At 3 p.m., Lucy sat smugly in front of her computer, pleased with the heated discussions on the forum. She switched between.
several alternate accounts, fueling the speculation that Jane Lawrence would definitely attend the competition.
Meanwhile, in the next room, Charlotte cautiously pulled a phone out from under her pillow. She lit up the screen and tried
entering James’s birthday as the password. Incorrect. She then tried Sarah’s birthday. Still incorrect. Frustrated but unwilling to give up, she thought of Zachary’s birthday and entered it, only to be met with failure once again.
“What is it?!” she muttered angrily, throwing the phone onto the bed. Then she recalled the scene that morning when Sarah had
come looking for her phone.
Yes, the phone was Sarah’s.
ad found it the night before after Sarah left and secretly taken it to her room. She hadn’t told anyone. That morning’s
had also been answered by her. She had tried every possible password, locking the phone completely in the process. If
unlock it, she was certain she would uncover Sarah’s secrets.
the same time, Sarah walked through the doors of Mist Hotel. She didn’t know which room Jane Lawrence was staying in, so
she waited at the front desk. She had checked Jane’s itinerary–Jane was scheduled to attend an event that evening. This was her
opportunity.
Hours passed, but Jane didn’t show up. According to the schedule, Jane should have been at the event already.
Sarah continued to wait, another two hours slipping by. It was now 7 p.m., and she hadn’t eaten dinner.
Her phone rang–it was Mia. “Sarah, where are you? You’re not home.”
“I’m out running errands, Mia. What’s up?” Sarah answered.
“Nothing, I just wanted to check on you,” Mia replied before quickly hanging up.

Minutes turned into hours. Exhaustion overtook Sarah, and she drifted into sleep without realising it. When she opened her eyes,
she was startled to see that it was completely dark outside. It was now 10 p.m.
She had
fallen asleep for three hours! And she still had no idea if Jane had returned. Disheartened, Sarah stood up, ready to leave.
But just then, two people walked through the revolving doors. The woman leading them was dressed in an elegant evening gown.
It was Jane Lawrence.
Sarah jumped to her feet too quickly, her legs numb from sitting for so long. She stumbled and fell to the ground with a loud thud.
The commotion caught Jane’s attention, and she walked over immediately. “Are you alright?” Jane asked.
Sarah looked up and smiled. “Miss Lawrence, it’s me!”
Jane’s expression flickered with recognition as her assistant quickly helped Sarah up,
“Miss Sanders, were you waiting for me?” Jane asked, her voice calm but slightly puzzled.
“Miss Lawrence,” Sarah said earnestly, “I came to ask once more if you would consider being a judge for our
competition.”
