she did, tears started to fall.
“Faye…
“Look at this.
“This is your ten years.
“What have you gained from it?”
That night, Howell didn’t come back.
Faye didn’t call him once.
Her heart was completely dead now. She no longer worried about him or cared about where he was or what he was doing.
With her departure imminent, she invited a group of close friends and held a farewell banquet for herself at the most luxurious hotel in the city
center.
Her friends, having drunk too much, all teared up and cursed Howell for being unworthy.
“You’ve given him so much. Why is he treating you like this?!”
“When you were in school, Brigham liked you. Being with him is a thousand times better than being with Howell!”
Faye only smiled, keeping drinking.
After the banquet, she paid the bill and stood alone in the hallway to sober up.
After a while, just as she was about to leave, she heard an argument between Howell and Stanley at the end of the hallway.
“You’re getting more and more absurd for Alianna!
“Because of one thing she said, you made Faye abort her child.
“To save her, you had Faye’s kidney removed.”
“Now, just because Alianna wants a child, you’re going to have a baby with her?!”
Howell’s voice was terrifyingly calm. “If I don’t have a child with her, she’ll find someone else. I can’t stand that.”
“And what about Faye?” Stanley almost yelled, “Do you even care about her?”
Howell was silent for a moment and he then said indifferently. “Haven’t I already prepared to marry her? Isn’t that enough?”
Faye stood there, her fingers digging deep into her palm.
Stanley could no longer persuade him and angrily walked away.
Howell also turned and left.
Faye, acting on a strange impulse, followed Howell and watched him
enter a suite.
The door was left ajar. Through the gap, she saw Howell pin Alianna to the bed. unbuckling his belt and leaning down to kiss her, his voice hoarse. “Alia, let’s have a baby.”
Alianna giggled and wrapped her arms around his neck. “And Faye?”
Howell paused for a moment and he then said lightly, “She won’t know.”
Faye stood outside the door, silently watching the entire scene. She then raised her phone and recorded it all.
