Chapter 11
Howell’s growing uneasiness became more and more apparent, even when walking beside Alianna, he was somewhat absent–minded.
After a long time, he suddenly looked at Alianna with a face full of apology.
“Alia. I can’t accompany you for now. I am busy with work, and I have been away for a few days, so it’s time for me to go back and deal with things properly”
“Okay. Howell, even if you were busy with work, don’t overwork yourself. remember to take breaks.”
Alianna nonchalantly brushed it off.
Howell, however, did not notice, or rather, he had become accustomed to
her attitude.
She has always been like this, only being obedient and pleasing to him when she needs to use him.
If it is not needed, it will be casually thrown aside.
He used to hate her personality like this before, but he couldn’t let her go
at all.
There was no way, but to accept it.
Howell took Alianna home and also returned to the villa
As soon as he stepped into the villa, he couldn’t help but furrow his brow.
It seemed like a lot of things were missing in the villa, yet it also seemed
like nothing had changed.
“Butler, where is Faye? Hasn’t she come back yet? How long does she intend to make a scene??”
Howell furrowed his brows, his voice chilly,
The butler and the rest of the servants exchanged troubled glances, took a deep breath, and finally mustered the courage to speak.
“Sir, Ms. Atkinson… she packed up and left three days ago, leaving nothing behind that belonged to her. You didn’t inquire about it either. and we all thought you knew!”
“Also, it seems like Ms. Atkinson got married to Brigham, and now there are rumors spreading all over the internet. Did you two really break up?
just a quarrel? Should we inform the assistant to do something and remove these news?”
Or was
He was speaking and showing Howell the photos from the news.
As soon as the butler spoke, Howell was completely shocked.
A buzzing sound rang in his ears, and he seemed to be unable to hear any other sound.
It took a long time before I could barely find my voice again.
“Butler, did Faye really leave? Did she really get married? Does she really not want me anymore?”
“Was she really joking? How could she marry Brigham? She knew very well that Brigham is my archenemy, so why would she do something to upset me like this?”
He was incredibly incredulous, flipping through the photos of Faye and Brigham’s marriage certificate countless times, but still couldn’t convince himself.
He did something wrong, he apologized to Faye, he knew it in his heart.
So he decided to spend the rest of his life making it up to her, why did she still choose to marry Brigham?
Bang!
Howell angrily threw the butler’s phone out.
The phone heavily smashed against the wall, instantly becoming completely useless and shattered.
He, however, became enraged. his eyes turning red, and he almost lost his sanity.
Fave was determined to leave.
There was hardly a trace of her existence in the villa.
Howell’s chest heaved up and down, gasping for breath out of anger.
What good thing could it be, to go against Brigham all these years?
Did she know Brigham? Did she just marry him so casually, without fearing being bullied, tortured, and used to death?
The more Howell thought about it, the more he couldn’t help but worry about Fave.
After a long time, he finally dialed a long–forgotten phone number.
“Brigham, it’s me Howell. Faye was mine, she just agreed to marry you out of anger for a moment. You better not mistreat her or lay a hand on her.”
“She was not a tool for you and me to go against each other. I advise you to send her back to me as soon as possible, otherwise I will never let you ofl!”
Howell’s cold eyes slightly chilled, and his fingertips tapped the desktop with some impatience, as if he was about to lose his patience.
Brigham sneered on the phone, “Howell, now Faye is my lawful wife, we have done everything we should and shouldn’t do between us. Do you want me to send her back to you? Are you dreaming?”
He emphasized the four words “legitimate wife” with a satisfied tone.
Howell, being a man who had experienced life, could not possibly fail to understand what this sound meant.
He instinctively clenched his fists, and if it weren’t for the phone between them, he might have already punched Brigham in the face.
