Chapter 12
Before Howell could even speak, Brigham continued in a cold voice.
“Howell, Faye doesn’t want you anymore. She completely stopped loving you. Anyway, you prefer Alianna more. Faye doesn’t need your pity–like affection. You don’t deserve her kindness towards you!”
The person you didn’t cherish, I cherished, I treasured them. Don’t you have Alianna already? Faye has moved on from you, so what’s the point of you constantly getting involved with her?
When this statement was made, Howell fell silent.
Fave treated him well and loved him very much.
He was extremely clear about this.
She is now married to someone else, no longer coming to pester him, never appearing by his side again, and no longer needing him to atone for the wrongs he has done for her. What else could he possibly be dissatisfied with?
He didn’t know.
He only knew that he couldn’t let go of Faye, otherwise he would regret it for the rest of his life.
Howell thought this way and also said it out.
Brigham, however, did not want to get entangled in these meaningless. topics with Howell anymore.
“Faye has let go already, and if you don’t let go of her, I will never spare you. I advise you not to disturb our lives anymore. We are happy now and
don’t need you to interfere.”
Saying that. Brigham was about to hang up the phone.
At that moment. Howell could clearly hear Faye calling Brigham on the phone.
“Brigham! Didn’t you say you were going to cook for me? I’m so hungry…”
Faye used to only act coquettish and weak in front of him. However, later on, in order to help him secure more collaborations, she learned to be calm and composed. Gradually, she rarely relied on him in such a coquettish manner.
Howell was momentarily lost in thought.
She couldn’t even remember the last time she had been so coquettish and dependent on him.
If Faye could hear his inner voice at that moment, she would definitely tell him that she didn’t act spoiled or dependent on him, it was just because he had disappointed her too many times, and she couldn’t rely on him.
He could leave her at any time because of Alianna’s presence.
So Faye didn’t want to and didn’t dare to rely on him.
Howell was not sure, but he felt like there were countless needles pricking at his chest, causing a sharp and intense pain.
Why did Faye feel so upset when she heard that Brigham relied on her?
Faye didn’t need him to be responsible anymore, he should have been happy.
When Alia had her child in the future, the three of them would inevitably
be bound together. Perhaps Alia would agree to marry him, and they would be very happy.
There was no Faye in this happiness.
This was Howell’s long–cherished dream.
But now, there was an indescribable discomfort in his heart.
Howell tried to keep himself from thinking about Faye as he lay in bed, resting.
However, he didn’t feel sleepy at all throughout the entire night.
The whole villa was eerily quiet.
In the past few days, he stayed by Alianna’s side and had extremely irregular eating habits.
Late at night, the acidic liquid in his stomach surged and churned. causing excruciating stomach cramps that made him curl up into a ball.
His face turned pale in waves, and his whole body was almost soaked in cold sweat.
“Faye, stomach medicine… I need stomach medicine…”
Howell gritted his teeth and weakly, subconsciously called out Faye’s
name.
However, the only response he received was the quiet air.
He forgot that Faye had already left and had already married Brigham.
The constant waves of pain that kept coming almost drove him crazy.
After a while, Howell managed to muster the strength to get up from the bed, swaying unsteadily. He opened the drawer and searched for his
stomach medicine.
“How could it not be here? Faye used to put the stomach medicine here…”
He realized belatedly that Faye had left.
Howell stumbled out of the door, and the butler, seeing him like that, quickly supported him and gave him some stomach medicine. He also kindly advised him:
“Sir, even if you were busy with work, don’t forget to have your meals on time. Your stomach is not well, so you should always pay attention…”
“Sir. are you feeling better? Is there anything you would like to eat? I will have Sydnee make it right away.”
After taking stomach medicine, Howell’s complexion gradually regained color.
“I wanted to drink ginseng chicken soup,” he blurted out unconsciously.
The strong and sweet aroma, as if deeply engraved in his mind.
