Chapter 9 Bianca’s Schemes
“Once she settles in, it won’t be too late to give it to her.”
Bianca said with kindness. Her tone was gentle and soft as if she was saying that for Lenora’s best interest.
However, Lenora could feel a strange sense of hostility from her.
With years of experience in reading people, she didn’t think that was a mere illusion.
There was something off about Bianca. Her words just now were definitely not as simple as they seemed.
Being new here and wanting to leave a good impression on her family, Lenora followed Bianca’s suggestion. “Grandpa, you came to pick me up early, so you must not have had breakfast. How about we go eat first?”
“That’s a good idea.” Seth, worried about his beloved granddaughter going hungry, waved his hand. “Let’s go eat then.”
Outside the airport, cars were waiting to pick up the Finley family.
Although they were family, they didn’t ride in the same car but instead separated into different vehicles.
After getting into the car, Cecilia began asking Lenora about her experiences over the years. At times, she cried with sympathy while at other times, she smiled with relief.
Xander listened from the side and the car was filled with lively
conversations.

In contrast, Seth, traveling alone in his own car, looked especially lonely.
He made a phone call to notify his lawyer that he wanted to transfer 6% of his shares to Lenora.
He wanted to give this gift to his granddaughter as soon as possible, so as not to cause any complications later.
Meanwhile, Bianca kept urging the driver to speed up after getting into the car. She wanted to get home ahead of the others. She then rushed into the kitchen.
The butler had already received the news that Lenora was returning from abroad, so he had arranged for a lavish Teblarian meal to be prepared.
Bianca looked around the kitchen and saw a variety of dishes… everything looked perfect in both color and aroma.
Unable to play tricks through the food, she decided to focus on the tableware.
She immediately stopped a servant who was about to set the table with Teblarian tableware. “It’s been so hard to bring my cousin back from abroad, yet you want to give her Teblarian tableware? Won’t that make her think we look down on her?”
“But we have Teblarian food…”
“This is Fizzoria!” Bianca raised her voice, emphasizing her point, with her face filled with a desire to show off the local culture.
“Yes,” the servant had no choice but to take the tableware away and replace them with knives and forks.
Bianca smiled in satisfaction.
She was eager to see Lenora embarrass herself at the table.
She could already imagine Lenora struggling awkwardly.
After all, Seth was picky about etiquette.
By the time the Finley family arrived home, breakfast had already been set. on the table.
When Cecilia saw the tableware, her expression darkened. She raised her hand, about to have it cleared, but was interrupted by Bianca.
“I was worried that local food wouldn’t suit Lilian’s taste, so I had the chef prepare Teblarian food,” Bianca said warmly, pulling Lenora to sit down. “Have a try.”
With that one sentence, she stole the butler’s credit.
Seeing her enthusiasm, Cecilia didn’t want to embarrass her, so she decided to have the servant change the knife and fork later.
Lenora glanced at the tableware in front of her and then calmly raised her hand to signal the servant. “Could you please bring me Teblarian tableware?
“Teblarian food is eaten with Teblarian tableware.”
Her words caught everyone off guard, and they gave her strange looks as if they had heard a joke.
Lenora couldn’t use a knife and fork. This would surely be a topic of conversation during their leisure time.
“Teblarian tableware has various beautiful meanings in Teblarian culture. This is something knife and fork can never compare to.”
Faced with the odd looks, Lenora slowly countered.
“So, eating Teblarian food naturally requires Teblarian tableware.”
Her words left everyone speechless, even feeling a bit guilty.
Having stayed in Fizzoria for so long, they had almost forgotten the history of Teblaria.
“Well said!”
The late Seth clapped for Lenora before scolding the others.
“Serving Teblarian food with a knife and fork is inappropriate. It looks like you’re all confused.”
Upon hearing Seth, the servants hurriedly cleared the knives and forks from the table.
Bianca bit her lip, her face turning pale.
She hadn’t expected Lenora to cleverly sidestep the issue and even receive praise from Seth.
She was smarter than she had imagined.
However, this only made her more certain that Lenora, the “country bumpkin.” didn’t know how to use a knife and fork. If she could, she would have shown off earlier.
During the meal, Seth, for the first time, served Lenora a few dishes, his eyes filled with approval and pride.
“You were absolutely right in what you said earlier. You’re truly a child. of the Finley family. No matter where you are, you must never forget your own culture.

“Here, eat more. You’re too thin.”
“Thank you, Grandpa.” Lenora obediently nodded.
She hadn’t intended to show off earlier. She’d just lived too repressively before. Now that she was home, she only wanted to live freely for once.
Her loving grandpa made her feel very happy.
Little did she know that Seth had only shown his gentle side to her. In the past, he was always serious and stern.
This made the sense of crisis in Bianca’s heart even stronger.
In the past, she would stay close to Seth, serving him and doing her duty as a good granddaughter for the sake of the shares.
But this old man treated her with indifference. Now, with his biological granddaughter back, he smiled like a blooming flower.
Damn it!
After dinner, Cecilia took Lenora to see her room.
The room at the center of the third floor was the largest in the Finley manor, equipped with a walk–in closet, a bathroom, and a vanity.
In the cream–colored bedroom, a gorgeous chandelier hung from the ceiling. Sunlight filtered through the sheer curtains and shone on the glass ornaments, casting colorful shadows on the bed. It made the bedding look even warmer and softer.
The furniture and decorations were all in the latest style, showing that Cecilia had put much effort into maintaining the room.
“Do you like it?” Cecilia looked at Lenora somewhat nervously, worried it
didn’t meet her tastes.
“I like it.” Lenora nodded. Cecilia let out a relieved sigh and then pulled her to tour the rest of the manor.
The Finley manor was a traditional aristocratic estate, just like a castle. Behind the house was a lovely garden filled with various rare flowers and trees.
A huge statue of the Virgin Mary stood in the fountain, and the water droplets scattered across the grass. They were shimmering under the sunlight.
Seth liked having people around the house, so both Bianca’s family and Edward Finley’s families lived with him.
“Your brother, Edward, went on a study trip to Comolia with his classmates and couldn’t return in time this morning, so he couldn’t come to pick you up,” Cecilia explained.
“It’s okay.” Lenora enjoyed the bright sunshine, not at all bothered.
As for her brother Edward, Dane had already introduced him to her on the plane.
Since she left, Xander and Cecilia had been immersed in sorrow.
To revitalize themselves, they decided to have another child.
