Chapter 20 Zavier Is Ignored
The onlookers were still murmuring. Hearing Zavier’s question, they explained to him.
“You missed the drama. Mr. Finley’s granddaughter has left.”
Hearing this, Zavier was annoyed.
Melany was being unreasonable. That was why Zavier had missed such a critical moment.
The annual party of the Finley family continued.
Until the party ended, Zavier still hadn’t seen Liliana, the heritress of the Finley Group he had been eager to see. Zavier could only focus on talking about business.
Zavier came to Xander with his glass of wine, wanting to be noticed. “Hello, Mr. Finley. I’m Zavier Velez from the Velez Group.”
“The Velez Group,” Xander repeated the name and remembered where he had heard it.
“Zavier Velez. Are you the talented young man in the business industry of Teblaria, who has listed his company in only a few years?”
“Yes, that’s me.” Zavier nodded modestly.
Xander looked Zavier up and down with compliments in his eyes, clinking his glass with Zavier’s.

Scheming light flashed across Zavier’s eyes. He immediately explained, “Mr. Finley, I want to cooperate with your company…”
At this time, Dane, who was having a business talk with someone else, saw Zavier talking to Xander.
Dane squinted, his gaze cold.
Dane had investigated Zavier.
Zavier stood Lenora up on her birthday. He was also a womanizer.
Dane hadn’t expected Zavier to be here.
Dane darkened his face. He walked to Xander and rudely interrupted Zavier’s introduction.
“Xander, I have a question. Please come with me.‘
Dane rarely bothered his family members. Xander believed it was something important.
Xander put down his wine glass and praised Zavier, “Young man, your idea is good. I’m busy now. We will talk about the cooperation later.
“Sure.” Zavier nodded.
Zavier planned this cooperation across multiple countries in person. He decided to give Xander as many profits as possible. Of course, Xander was interested.

Dane glanced at Zavier coldly. He brought Xander to a quiet corner and told Xander how Zavier had treated Lenora before.
Dane didn’t tell Xander that Zavier was Lenora’s ex–husband. He didn’t want Xander to piss off and kill Zavier in front of everyone.
Hearing that his daughter had been so humble for a man, waiting for him. all day and night, Xander was ignited.
Xander abruptly looked back at Zavier, who knew nothing, and wanted to beat Zavier up!
Xander had been missing his daughter for more than 20 years and saw her as the apple of his eye. How could someone else treat her like that?
Zavier was such a bastard.
“Xander, calm down.” Dane grabbed Xander tightly.
“The drama between Liliana and Bianca hasn’t ended. Everyone is watching the show. If something goes wrong again, the annual party can’t continue anymore.
“Just leave it to me. I will take care of it.”
Since Dane had promised, Xander loosened his tie, still indignant. His face was dark. “Then I will leave it to you.
“By the way, don’t let Liliana know that he’s here. I don’t want her to be bothered by the past.”
“I know.” Dane nodded.
Zavier saw Dane whisper in Xander’s ear.

Xander suddenly darkened his face and glanced at Zavier. Then, Xander
left in anger.
What happened?
Zavier was worried.
If Lenora was with Zavier, she would tell him to relax and solve the problem with him.
But Lenora was not around…
Thinking about this, Zavier felt upset.
Dane looked at Zavier, who was upset. Then, Dane pursed his lips and texted his assistant.
Zavier failed Lenora, so he deserved the revenge.
In the lounge.
The broad and bright lounge was quiet, blocking all the noise from the
hall.
Lenora was reading “Ella” magazine on the sofa with a glass of hot water in her hand.
Cecilia looked at Lenora with affection and told her, “The chief editor of this magazine is your aunt. Later when we visit your grandma, you will
meet her.”
“Really?” Lenora raised her head happily, her beautiful eyes shining.
“Ella” was one of the four most popular fashion magazines.

When Lenora was in Teblaria, she would buy “Ella” every month to understand the most recent fashion trends. Then, she would buy gifts for the rich ladies who she and Zavier needed to get along with.
Zavier didn’t know how many efforts she had made.
Knock, Knock. Knock.
Someone was knocking on the door of the lounge.
Cecilia told them to come in. Xander pushed the door open and walked in, looking at Lenora with worry.
“Liliana, are you OK?”
Lenora closed the magazine and nodded with a smile. “Dad, I’m OK.”
“No way!” Cecilia sat down by Lenora and held Lenora’s hand, murmuring unhappily, “Bianca made a scene. It ruined Liliana’s reputation!”
Liliana just came home, but everyone thought that she schemed against. Bianca. How could Liliana make friends later?
Xander squatted in front of Cecilia and smiled at her, “Bianca was too anxious. Exposing in front of so many guests made her lose her mind. It made sense.”
Cecilia glared at Xander indignantly. “Why don’t you speak up for your daughter but someone else?”
“I’m not, honey!” Xander raised his hands to surrender and prove his innocence. “To prove that Liliana is innocent, I have asked someone to get the footage of the surveillance camera at home.”

With the footage, they could prove that Lenora had never entered Bianca’s room or tampered with Bianca’s dress.
“That’s good.” Cecilia raised her chin to the fruit on the table, “So much argument just now. My mouth is dry. Peel an orange for me.”
“OK!”
Xander immediately picked up two oranges and peeled them. Then, her gave one to Cecilia and the other to Lenora.
“My honey and my sweetheart, it’s been a long day for you two.”
“We are just unlucky.” Eating the orange, Cecilia finally felt better.
Lenora put a piece of orange into her mouth.
It was so sweet, making her feel better.
It was nice to stay with the family.
In the meantime, the other lounge wasn’t so peaceful.
Bianca slumped over the desk and kept crying.
“I was so embarrassed. How can I get over with this…”
