Chapter 23 The Truth
“The thing is not over yet. I’m not going.” Lenora lifted her dress and walked to Bianca as if she didn’t feel any pain.
Xander immediately took his suit jacket off and draped it over her
shoulders.
Lenora’s gaze was firm, but her footsteps were light.
Bianca somehow felt fear and subconsciously stepped back.
She didn’t expect that even though Lenora was injured like this, she still wanted to tell everyone the truth.
“L–Liliana… I’m not going anywhere. How about you go to bandage your wound first?”
Bianca’s brain was working very fast now.
She felt that it was better to be confirmed guilty in private than in public.
“No,” Lenora refused firmly and walked to the laptop.
Her movements made the wound on her ankle open even more, and blood flowed down her fair ankle, forming a bloody line on the ground.
Seeing this scene, Xander and Cecilia felt heartbroken, thinking that Lenora must have had a huge grievance, which made her so persistent in finding herself justice.
Finally, Lenora walked up to the laptop and pressed the play button.

The next second, Bianca’s figure appeared on the screen.
Bianca sneaked through the hallway and reached the door of Lenora’s room. After looking around and confirming that no one else was there,
she sneaked in.
A few minutes later, she got out with a flustered expression and quickly
left.
Although the camera didn’t capture the scene of Bianca cutting Lenora’s dress, her sneaky behavior still proved that she indeed did something bad.
Seeing this, the guests burst into discussions.
“Really didn’t expect that Bianca would be so hostile against Liliana. They have no conflict of interest, right? So why did Bianca do that?”
Someone who knew the truth helped explain, “Sir Finley once claimed that he would give Liliana 6 percent of the company’s share. After Liliana went missing, he said that if he couldn’t find Liliana back before hist death, he would give that share to Bianca.”
“Oh, so that’s it!” Someone nodded.
“That’s why Bianca hates Liliana so much and even tried to set her up.” someone concluded.
“Rich people’s lives are full of dramas,” another one remarked.
The others nodded as they finally learned about the truth.
Seeing that all she had done had been exposed, Bianca collapsed to the ground in despair, not daring to look at her family.
Meanwhile, Cecilia was so pissed off and stated, “Liliana was having a nap at that time. I asked everyone to get out, and that’s why Bianca got the

chance to do it!”
If Cecilia had known it earlier, she would never have left Lenora at that
time.
Seth’s face was very sullen. Though he wanted to clear the
misunderstanding within the family, seeing his granddaughter’s vicious. plan with his own eyes still angered him..
He hit the floor hard with his cane and said to Dudley, “Your grandson saved Liliana, and I’m very grateful for that. I’ll take Liliana to him another day and thank him in person.”
“Oh, don’t mention it.” Dudley knew Seth was angry, so he didn’t joke around this time. Instead, he said with a solemn face, “It’s not a big deal. for the boys to get injured. You should take care of your family’s matter first.”
“Sure.” Seth nodded.
He said a few words in a low voice to Jerimiah and then snapped at Rodney, “What are you still standing there for? Take your daughter back
now!”
With that, Seth strode forward with the help of his cane.
The guests around him all make way for him sensibly.
Rodney trembled slightly with fear and dared not disobey his father. So, he quickly had someone pull up Bianca, who was still sitting on the ground, and send her home.
Seeing this, Jerimiah sighed and slightly shook his head.
If Bianca had known it would come to this, would she have acted differently back then?

Jerimiah walked up to Xander and whispered to him, “I’ll take care of everything here. Liliana is also injured. Go send her to the hospital.”
Xander nodded and immediately scooped Lenora up, ready to take her to the hospital.
Meanwhile, Cecilia shot a cold glance at Livia and said through her gritted teeth. “This isn’t over. We’ll get back at you.”
With that, he hurriedly followed Xander to the hospital.
Zavier, who had been waiting in the office on the top floor, saw an ambulance at the entrance of the hotel through the window. He realized that something had happened.
Subconsciously, he wanted to go down and see what happened. But thinking of that young man’s words, he stopped in his tracks.
He thought to himself, “Forget it. It has nothing to do with me anyway. So I might as well just ignore it.”
Lenora and her parents arrived at the hospital. The nurse asked everyone else to get out of the ward, let Lenora change into another outfit, and then carefully removed the glass shards from her skin.
Randall’s suit jacket covered most of her exposed skin, but still, the glass shards caused many wounds to her body.
Lenora’s face was pale, and her toes curled up in pain.
She sighed deeply in her heart, hoping that Bianca would learn her lesson today and be smarter not to offend her in the future.
Outside the ward, Cecilia paced up and down worriedly.
She regretted it so much, sighing, “I really didn’t expect Bianca to be so

malicious. I’ve always treated her as my own daughter!”
Xander gently patted her back and snapped, “I’m also very angry with her. But Edward pissed me off even more! Liliana is his own sister. How could he do that to her?
“I’ll ask his teacher to arrange a dorm for him. He shall stay at school until he graduates!”
“But…” Cecilia hesitated with a bit of concern. “He’s rebellious. What if he makes friends with some bad kids and turns bad? He’ll be even more
rebellious then.”
“Then I’ll kick him out of the Finley family and take it as if I’ve never had him as my son!” Xander was really mad this time.
Cecilia sighed.
Edward was very hostile against Lenora. So it looked like that was the best solution now.
Soon, the nurse got out.
Xander and Cecilia immediately walked up and asked worriedly, “How’s our daughter?”
“I’ve already bathed her wound and applied a clean dressing. Don’t let it touch water, or it will leave scars.”
“Okay. Thanks.”
Then, Xander and Cecilia hurriedly walked into the ward. When they saw Lenora lying on the hospital bed with her face pale and eyes closed, they felt heartbroken.
“I’m sorry, Liliana. But we promise you, we’ll definitely take care of you

in the future.” Cecilia wiped away her tears and helped smooth Lenora’s messy hair in front of her forehead.
Suddenly, Lenora’s eyelashes fluttered slightly, and she then slowly opened her eyes. “Dad, Mom, how’s Randall?”
Lenora had been focusing on exposing Bianca’s true face just now and forgot about Randall’s injury.
But Xander had already checked on Randall and said to Lenora, “His injury is more severe than yours. But don’t worry. Everything’s been taken care of over there.”
“That’s good.” Lenora heaved a sigh of relief and closed her eyes again.
In the next few days, Lenora had been staying in the hospital for her wound to be healed.
Cecilia told her that Seth was furious and punished Bianca and Edward
seriously.
Then, Seth grounded Bianca in the house in the suburbs, and Edward was sent back to school and had his allowance for a whole year deducted.
Lenora finally had a few days of peaceful life:
After she recovered a bit, she asked the nurse about Randall, only to be told that he left the hospital the next day after he was sent here.
“What a workaholic. No wonder he could become a successful businessman,” Lenora signed in her heart.
Anyway, her days after that remained peaceful and joyful.
