When Felicia was working on experiments with her teacher, several projects won first place, carning her a significant bonus. The teacher generously gave her half. Later, she treated wealthy patients at the Genesis Clinic and saved over 250 grand, which she put into a five–year fixed deposit.
As for the hotel where she ordered meals, it was her senior’s startup. He asked if she wanted to invest, and she put in ten percent. Now it had become a chain.
Even if she only relied on dividends, it was enough to cover Minerva’s
expenses.
Moreover, she planned to continue investing in her career.
So why did Seymour think he could control her?
It was laughably absurd.
This frozen secondary card summed up all the feelings Felicia had for Seymour over the past six years.
It seemed to tell her a harsh truth, “Never compete with a man who doesn’t love you in terms of who is more ruthless.”
He would coldly take back everything he gave, casually using a card to imply, “Get lost quickly.”
She understood, so she chose to leave,

since.
Felicia checked the time, worried it might not be convenient for him, and decided to text.
“Mr. Pineda, regarding the lawsuit we discussed last time, is it possible to initiate it soon?”
Rashad replied quickly. “Possible. But Ms. Pruitt, you need to provide me with a rough list of your husband’s assets.”
Aside from Seymour’s family villa, she knew of five other villas purchased after marriage and two sports cars bought during the marriage.
When they got engaged, Seymour’s grandpa gave her 5% of the Lucero Group as an engagement gift. Felicia didn’t need the shares, just the cash equivalent after the divorce.
Even with just these, Felicia could take care of Minerva well without working.
“Okay, Mr. Pineda, I’ll send you the list later.”
“Mr. Lucero, here is the latest project approval document for your signature.”
Seymour signed with a furrowed brow and a calm expression.
After signing, he casually raised his eyebrows. “Has my wife sent you any messages?”
The assistant paused, “No, Mr. Lucero. By the way, the task you asked me to handle the day before yesterday has been done. Since then, your wife has used it once, so she probably knows you’ve frozen her card.”
So she knew about it?
Then why hadn’t she called him?
Seymour handed the document back. “I see. You can go now.”
He knew the relationship between Felicia and Edwina wasn’t as good as it seemed, so Edwina wouldn’t help her.
Roger didn’t get along with Felicia, so he wouldn’t help her either.
Minerva had just been born, and she needed money for everything- babysitter, food, clothing, everything required money.
So where did she get the money from?
All day. Seymour was somewhat distracted, waiting for Felicia’s reconciliatory call, which never came.
Instead, his son surprised him when he got home.
“Dad, today the teacher gave us a craft assignment. We need to use discarded plastic bottles to make a little house. Dad, stop looking at the computer and come help me with my homework.”
Seymour heard about the kindergarten’s craft assignment for the first time.
He felt exasperated and rubbed his temples. “Let Bettic help you. I’m very busy.”
“No. Dad. Usually, the craft assignments from the teacher are done by Mom and me together. Last time, I only got second place. This time, I promised Shanna that I would get first. Please come quickly.”
“Ambi. I really have to work,” Seymour lost his patience and said each word slowly.
When Seymour didn’t smile, his face looked very serious. Ambrose shivered in fear, then pouted and started to cry, “Dad, the teacher said this is a family assignment and can only be helped by Mom and Dad. The nanny isn’t my mom, and I don’t want her to help!”
Seymour felt irritation coming on.
Usually, these things were all done by Felicia.
He didn’t understand why the kindergarten would assign such a task. It wasn’t for the kids, it was clearly to inconvenience the parents;
Vaguely, he recalled Felicia’s complaints from before.
At that time, he found it annoying and went to the study with his computer to have some peace.
He never expected that one day, he would be the one being bothered.
He pinched the area between his eyebrows. “When is this assignment due?”
Seeing his dad give in, Ambrose instantly smiled, “The day after tomorrow! As long as it’s done by tomorrow night, it’s fine.”
“Okay, I’ll come back to do it tomorrow. Now you can go back to your room and sleep, alright?”
“Okay!”
With the promise, Ambrose ran off quickly.
