“Really?” Felicia smiled nonchalantly. “So when exactly will that day. come? Mabel, is that all you’ve got? Do you think your nonsense and empty threats can intimidate me?”
“Do you have to be so stubborn, Felicia?”
Mabel couldn’t understand what gave Felicia the confidence to be so stubborn.
Felicia simply smiled confidently while slightly lowering her eyes. “Mabel, I’m not being stubborn. When I no longer love him, your verbal attacks won’t affect me at all.”
Mabel’s eyes widened, staring fixedly at Felicia’s brightly smiling face. Was this still the same Felicia who was always a pushover?
How could Felicia claim she didn’t love Seymour anymore?
It had to be a lie!
With a ding, the elevator doors opened.
Mabel heard it, and she promptly fell to the floor, her eyes slightly brimming with tears. “Felicia, I know you hate me, but I really didn’t expect you to push me down!”
Roger, hearing the noise, quickly rushed over in a few steps, feeling indignant. “Felicia, how dare you push Mabel?”
Felicia scoffed, then noticed Edwina also approaching with worry, her face showing a hint of anger. “Felicia, how can you hit Mabel? She has always been very concerned about you, and that’s why she wanted to

come see you. She cares so much about you, and you actually push her!”
What a dramatic act.
No wonder Mabel didn’t hesitate to collapse onto the floor.
She was setting a trap!
Felicia crossed her arms over her chest, her expression calm. “I didn’t push her: she fell by herself.”
“We don’t believe you! Apologize! Felicia, you must apologize today!”
Mabel sniffled and pulled on Roger’s shirt. “It’s alright, Roger, let’s just say I fell by myself. Don’t blame Felicia; she’s just in a bad mood.”
“In a bad mood? Does having a child mean she’ll be in a bad mood forever, and we have to put up with it indefinitely?”
Roger’s face turned red with anger. “Felicia, I’ll ask you one last time. Will you apologize?”
Felicia narrowed her cold eyes slightly. “What if I say no?”
Roger sneered, “Then I’ll give you a push, just the same way you just did to Mabel!”
Edwina was worried, seeing Roger about to push Felicia down. She couldn’t stop him, but the next second, a strong wrist grabbed Roger’s outreaching hand.
Rashad’s glasses reflected a faint light, and he smiled slightly, “Are you sure you want to lay hands on a woman?”
Roger felt Rashad’s strength, his wrist twisted so he couldn’t move, and he grimaced, “Who are you? Felicia, you’re bold, keeping a toy boy from Seymour.”

Rashad glanced at Roger indifferently, and Roger was in too much pain to
talk.
Seeing Roger’s forehead covered in cold sweat, Edwina quickly begged, “Felicia, tell him to stop!”
Mabel on the floor was also startled. “Felicia, who is this man?”
Felicia gave a cold smile, “He’s my divorce lawyer.”
The three were shocked, wondering if they had heard correctly. Was Felicia really going to divorce Seymour?
“Divorce?” Edwina looked at Felicia in shock, as if the word was impossible to believe.
Rashad nodded slightly and calmly said, “I am Ms. Pruitt’s lawyer. I have the right to sue this gentleman for defamation against me and Ms. Pruitt.‘
Roger had spoken without thinking, but he didn’t expect it to be used against him.
He rubbed his wrist and turned to Felicia, his face showing scorn. “Felicia, you’re getting better at acting hard to get. But do you think Seymour will let you control him?
“Have you heard the story of the boy who cried wolf? Be careful, lies can become true if repeated often!”
Felicia pressed her lips together and sneered coldly, “I don’t want to control anyone, and the lawsuit is already in court. If you don’t believe me, just wait and see.”
Edwina, seeing Felicia’s serious face, got worried. “Licia, have you lost your mind? You’re really overreacting this time! How long do you think Seymour will put up with you?”

Why did everyone think she was overreacting?
Felicia’s face showed no emotion. “I’m not overreacting, nor am I crazy. I really want to divorce Seymour.”
“You want to divorce Seymour?” Roger mocked, “Felicia, do you know how many women want to marry Seymour? Instead of trying to please him, you want a divorce?”
Felicia scoffed, “Yes, many women want to marry him, and here’s a ready- made candidate.”
Everyone paused and looked at Mabel.
Mabel’s face froze, and she bit her lip gently. “Felicia, what are you saying? How can you think that about me?”
Mabel blinked tearfully, and Roger, wanting to protect Mabel, immediately defended her by shouting loudly, “Felicia, don’t accuse Mabel! You can’t keep your husband’s heart, so why slander others?”
