Chapter 6
Joaquin returned home and saw Myra sitting on the couch reading a newspaper. He casually asked, pretending not to be interested.
“Where did you put the sweater you knitted for me before?”
Myra was a little confused.
“Did I knit a sweater for you before?”
“Did you forget that you had woven it, the white one?”
Myra immediately pretended to have a sudden realization.
“I remembered; it should have been pressed at the bottom of the wardrobe.”
Upon hearing her answer, Joaquin’s eyes flickered.
Until the two of them were ready to return to the city, Harley had not
come back.
I didn’t make a phone call or send a letter home halfway through either.
Standing at the train station, Joaquin was feeling anxious, constantly staring at his watch.
Half an hour before departure, Myra urged him to get in the car, but to her surprise, Joaquin simply dropped his luggage and ran towards home.
Hastily rushing back home, Joaquin discovered that the lock on the front gate had not been touched.
But he didn’t believe in superstition and still entered the house,

attempting to find Harley’s figure.
He searched around, but the result disappointed him greatly.
He sat wearily on the sofa and accidentally kicked the trash can beside his feet, knocking it down.
The garbage was scattered all over the place, and Joaquin keenly noticed the torn envelopes among them.
He pieced the letter together reluctantly and, looking at the words on it, his eyes immediately became moist.
Harley really left, but he didn’t realize it until a week after she had left.
Where did she go, does she still attend university, did she leave alone or with friends, he has no idea.
He was immersed in his own world, even though he had already noticed. Harley’s changes, he still deceived himself in his mind.
That was really stupid..
He finally understood now that what Harley said before, that she no. longer liked him, was not a joke, but her true feelings.
She let him go, but why was he so sad?

Harley took a day and a night to reach the school by train.
As soon as Harley got off the train, she saw a man holding a sign at the arrival gate with her name written on it.
Harley was a bit confused, but still walked towards the man.

The man looked very young, about the same age as her, with delicate features and a vibrant spirit.
Harley walked over and patted the man’s shoulder, pointing at the sign het was holding.
“Hello, do we know each other?”
The man paused for a moment, then quickly seemed to realize something and hastily asked.
“Are you Harley?”
Seeing Harley nod, the man extended his hand towards her and introduced himself.
“Hello, my name is Harold Flynn. Professor Galvan asked me to pick you. up. I was a student of Professor Galvan and I am currently a junior, so I can be considered your senior.
Harley grasped Harold’s hand and nodded slightly towards him.
“I’ll help you with the luggage. I drove here.”
Upon hearing Harold’s words, Harley did not refuse and handed him the luggage, smiling at him.
“That would trouble Harold.”
The school was not far from the train station, and it took only half an hour to get there.
After getting out of the car, Harold first helped Harley to bring the luggage to the bottom of the dormitory. Then, he waited for her to finish packing and took her for a tour around the school.
After finishing lunch, Harold took Harley to find Davion Galvan.

At that time, Davion was wearing glasses and reading a newspaper in the office. When he saw two people coming in, he immediately stood up to greet them.
“Harley, I am glad you chose Stanford University.”
Harley bowed to Davion.
“I am also very grateful for Professor Galvan’s help.”
Davion waved his hand, motioning for Harley to sit down, and poured her a cup of tea.
“Just a small effort.”
“Harley, I asked Harold to bring you here because there was something I wanted to discuss with you.”
Davion looked a bit serious, and Harley’s back straightened unconsciously.
“You said.”
Davion coughed twice and slowly began speaking, “I don’t know if you would be willing to join my research team and work on missile projects.”
Harley was somewhat taken aback.
Can I, but I haven’t learned anything yet.
Harold smiled brightly at Harley.
“Believe in yourself, just like me, I also grew up following the teacher and growing through practice when I first started school.”
Davion nodded in agreement.

“You don’t have to worry about this, let Harold teach you for a while, these knowledge were easy to grasp.”
“The biggest issue was that, one year later, we would be conducting. research and development for a secret project, during which you would not be able to contact your family or disclose any information about the project to the outside world.”
“And the location of the experiment was in the desert, where the environment was very harsh. I don’t know if you would be interested?”
