Chapter 12
After Harley and Harold reported the situation to Davion, this matter was taken seriously.
The father of the girl still wanted to use his power to oppress Harold, but Davion found evidence of his corruption and bribery, and dismissed him from his position.
Having lost her support, the girl no longer dared to target others and even went out of her way to avoid seeing them.
A few weeks passed, and other classmates also gradually arrived at the school.
Harley also met her roommate, who were a few easygoing girls. Although their living habits were different, fortunately, everyone was
accommodating to each other, and the dormitory life was also harmonious.
After the class started, Davion helped Harley apply to the school to only take major courses. With the time saved, Harley went to the library to study with Harold.
Harold had a good mastery of professional knowledge, and some questions that seemed obscure and difficult to understand to Harley could be easily answered by Harold.
Harley learned a lot from Harold and he often teased her.
“You were progressing too fast; it won’t be long before I’m afraid there won’t be anything left for me to teach you.”
Whenever this happened, Harley would respond with a smile.
“Harold was just teasing me, with the knowledge you had, it seems like teaching me for a lifetime would be no problem.”
That day, the two of them had agreed to go to the library to study. Harley arrived first and found a place to study for half an hour before Harold finally arrived late.
He placed the newspaper in his hand in front of Harley and pointed to the headline on it.
“Harley, was this your hometown?”
When Harley saw the words “flood disaster” above, he paused for a moment, while Harold continued speaking.
“We still don’t know how many people were killed. Do you have any relatives or friends at home? Should we make a phone call to check on their situation?”
Harley shook her head and answered with a no, but couldn’t help but think of Joaquin.
But he should have already returned to the city by now, so there shouldn’t. have been any major events.
Before class, Harley was somewhat absent–minded.
For some reason, she felt a little anxious and always felt like something was going to happen.
Harold noticed that something was off with her condition, so he didn’t feel comfortable leaving her alone and accompanied her to class.
The teacher of this class fell ill and took a leave, saying that a friend. would come to help with the class, but I didn’t know what the teaching style would be like.
Chapter 12
Lost in thought, Harley suddenly bumped into a broad back. Harley quickly apologized, but when he looked up, he stood frozen in place.
“Harley? Is that you?”
The other person’s voice was trembling and somewhat cautious.
Harley lowered his head again and distanced himself from the other
person.
“You mistook the person.”
“Harley, it was you, right? I couldn’t have been mistaken.”
It seemed like Joaquin hesitated to approach Harley, afraid of scaring her. Instead, he stood in place and spoke.
“Fortunately, you were fine. You walked away without saying a word. and it really scared me.”
Although Harold didn’t know what the relationship between the two was, he could sense that Harley didn’t want to have much contact with this
person.
He positioned himself in front of the Harley in neutral gear, displaying a polite smile.
“Sir, it’s almost time for class. Is there anything that can wait until after class?”
Harold gave Harley a look, and Harley understood. He took the
opportunity to run into the classroom and found a seat. Harold followed closely behind and sat down next to Harley.
I didn’t expect Joaquin to also enter the classroom and walk straight towards the blackboard.

Harley suddenly realized that Joaquin was a university professor, and perhaps the friend mentioned by the teacher was indeed Joaquin.
