Chapter 8
Jeremy told me that in recent years, he worked hard at the translation agency. His translation skills improved a lot, and he participated in many important projects.
But he felt a sense of emptiness without me working with him.
I shared with him the stories I had with Anthony in the US, as well as my plans and ideas for the upcoming translation work.
“Karina, you know, I’ve been following your translation work all along. Whether it’s the precision of your word choice or your language style, it’s all top–notch! I believe that with you joining us, our translation agency will definitely be able to take on more challenging projects.”
Jeremy’s eyes were filled with admiration, and his voice was brimming with excitement.
“Thank you, Jeremy. I’m especially looking forward to working with everyone.”
Recalling the days spent with Anthony in the US, I actually learned a lot, but the negative emotions he gave me made me feel frustrated.
Now, I finally returned to the right path and was able to focus on the translation work I loved.
I thought that from now on, Anthony and I would never meet again, but I
expected that a few days later, he would chase me in Spain.
never
He even found me in Madrid.
I just finished an important translation work and was leaving the embassy.
Chapter 6
As I was walking. I suddenly heard a familiar and urgent voice from behind me. “Karina!”
I was stunned, then stopped, slowly turning around, and saw Anthony standing not far away.
His hair was disheveled, his eyes filled with fatigue, his clothes wrinkled, looking as if he was traveling for a long time.
“Karina, I’ve been looking for you for a long time,” Anthony said, quickly walking towards me.
I unconsciously took a step back, cautiously looking at him. “Anthony, what are you doing here? We broke up. What else do you want?”
Anthony showed a painful look. “I know I was wrong. I’ve been reflecting on it during this time. Without you, I feel like life was unbearable. I know I hurt you deeply, but I really want to make it up. Please give me another chance.”
I shook my head with a sneer. “Anthony, once you hurt me, we can never get back. When we were at the airport, I already made it clear.”

you? Why are you bothering Karina?”
Hony’s gaze swept between Jeremy and me, a hint of jealousy flashing his eyes. “I’m her husband. Stay out of it. It’s not your business.”
Jeremy didn’t back down at all. “No matter who you are, Karina doesn’t want to see you. You shouldn’t bother her anymore.”
Looking at Jeremy’s resolute back, the warmth welled up in my heart.
10 14:
“Anthony, just go. I’m doing well now. Don’t come looking for me again.”
After saying that, I took Jeremy’s arm and was about to leave.
Seeing this, Anthony rushed up again, grabbing my wrist, “Karina, I won’t give up. I will definitely make you accept me again.”
Just as we remained in a standoff, a car slowly approached, and Albert got out of the car.
Seeing this. Albert’s face instantly became stern. He quickly walked over. “Mr. Conway, Karina has already made her stance clear. If you continue to harass her like this, I will call the police.”
Anthony’s hand trembled slightly, and he finally let go of me.
I ignored him, got in the car, and left with Jeremy and Albert together.
After that, I could always see Anthony’s figure outside the embassy. Whenever he saw me, he would kneel in front of me and apologize.
But he was driven away by Jeremy every time.
I thought Anthony would give up, but I never expected him to become more persistent.
Even on rainy days, he would kneel outside.
Jeremy glanced at him through the window. “Karina, this is his cunning. strategy. You can’t forgive him!
“Karina, are you cold? I’ll close the curtains and make you a cup of hot ginger tea.” lea,”
I smiled and watched Jeremy. He was jealous. I rubbed his head, and Jeremy’s face turned red instantly.
The rain outside was heavy, and Anthony showed no signs of leaving.
I looked at the outside with mixed feelings, not going to stop him, and turned to rest.
