Chapter 9
The next day, I heard that someone fainted outside the embassy. Without thinking, I knew it was Anthony.
I didn’t pay much attention to it and continued working diligently.
Anthony didn’t show up in the next few days. I thought he finally gave up.
But I didn’t expect that as soon as I got off work, a piece of white cloth covered my mouth.
“Karina…”
When I woke up, I found myself in a dilapidated rental house.
Not far away, Luna was tied to a chair, her hair disheveled, her face filled with fear and anger.
Anthony paced back and forth in the room, his eyes crazy and determined.
Seeing me wake up, he rushed to me, kneeling on one knee, clutching the ring that once symbolized our marriage.
“Karina, you’re finally awake!”
Anthony’s voice trembled, “All of this is Luna’s fault. She destroyed our relationship!”
Then he turned fiercely and slapped Luna several times.
Luna’s face turned red instantly, blood seeping from the corner of her mouth. She dodged and screamed hoarsely, “Anthony, you’re crazy!”
Anthony ignored her, returning to my side, grabbing my hand, and trying

to put the ring on my finger.
“It’s all her fault. I’ll teach her a lesson for you..
“Please, Karina, forgive me this time. Let’s start over. I was wrong before, but I only love you now.”
I struggled desperately, furiously shouting, “Anthony, you’re insane! Kidnapping, hitting people, you’re a criminal!”
Anthony didn’t listen, even roughly tearing my clothes.
“Anthony, you’re crazy! Stop it!”
I cried out, slapping him hard on the face. Anthony didn’t care, holding my flailing hand.
“I’m indeed crazy! You have no idea how crazy I am these days seeing you with that Jeremy!”
“You’re mine! You’re clearly my wife!”
The cold wind blew in, making me shiver.
“Anthony, you’ll get what you deserve!”
Anthony seemed not to hear me at all, almost mad.
“The child is gone, and it doesn’t matter. Let’s have another one, okay?
“I got rid of Luna’s child. You lost the child, and she’s not allowed to have
it too!”
I looked at Anthony, my heart filled with disgust and fear. He tied me, so I could only struggle desperately, trying to avoid his touch.
At that moment, the door was suddenly kicked open.

Jeremy, his face full of anger, followed by several policemen, rushed forward and punched Anthony in the face!
“Anthony, stop it!”
Anthony was stunned by the sudden change. The ring slipped from his hand and fell to the ground, making a clear sound on the floor.
The police quickly rushed forward and knocked Anthony to the ground.
Jeremy rushed to my side with a swift move. He took off his jacket and covered me, carefully untying the ropes.
Anthony gave a maniacal laugh. In the next moment, he broke free from the police’s grasp and rushed towards the window.
He leaped down.
“Karina, since I can’t be with you, my life has no meaning.”
However, Jeremy seemed prepared for this. He asked the police to set up a safety net early outside the window.
Anthony outside the window but didn’t die, Jeremy sneered,
g you kneel for so many days, I knew you would do it this way.
rying to use this strategy to get Karina back? No way! You and Luna. should go to jail, and atone for your crime!”
After saying this, Jeremy led me out of the room.
Anthony collapsed and shouted, “No, it’s not like this.
“Karina, come back, come back.”
Jeremy covered my ears and held me in his arms.

“Don’t listen to him, Karina. I’m here. I’ll be with you.”
“Jeremy, you know I can’t…”
Jeremy shook his head, cutting me off. “It’s okay, staying by your side is good enough, Karina.”
The warm sunlight shone down on me, and Jeremy’s bright smile warmed my heart.
Afterward, with the help of Albert and Jeremy, I did a great job abroad.
I gradually forgot about Anthony and Luna.
One day, I received a large amount of money on my phone. I found out it was the property division after the divorce.
Jeremy looked at me with a smile. “I heard that woman was sent to a mental hospital.
“And that man was also convicted of aggravated assault.”
I smiled and said nothing, embracing my bright future.
