In the private room, Jaylen was telling Edwin and Tamara what he had just seen.
“I knew it! She came here to hang out with some models and didn’t make herbal soup for you. Just wait here, Mara. Zayden will definitely teach that housewife a good lesson!”
Just as Tamara wanted to say something, the door was opened from outside.
Zayden walked in expressionlessly.
He always had a poker face. It was hard to tell his thoughts from his face.
But somehow, Tamara felt that Zayden was in a bad mood.
She asked softly, “Zayden, did Ms. Griffith calm down? You should be going back to take care of Krish right now, right?”
Zayden pursed his lips and replied, “No.“”
Tamara widened her eyes in shock. “Ms. Griffith doesn’t care about Krish anymore?”
Then, she bit her lip, seemingly making up her mind, and said, “Zayden. I… I can go to apologize to Ms. Griffith. Krish is still little. He needs his
mom’s care.
“We shouldn’t let a child get involved in our adults‘ matters. Krish did nothing wrong.”
But Jaylen rolled his eyes and snorted, “Can’t you see what she’s been
thinking? She just wants to use Krish to threaten Zayden! What a heartless woman! She even used her own son in her tricks! Shameless!”
Edwin interrupted Jaylen, snapping, “Stop it, Jaylen.”
“Did I say anything wrong?” Jaylen shouted, “Look what Lailah has done! She’s already married and has a child, yet she came to a bar to hang out with some models. She’s cheating on Zayden!
“No wonder Krish dislikes her more. She’s a terrible mother! Zayden hast been too well to her, which made her grow more and more bumptious!
“She’s been an idle rich lady every day, using Zayden’s money to buy whatever she wants, yet she still thinks it’s not enough! See? She’s here, using Zayden’s money to play with those models!”
Thinking of something, Jaylen paused and looked at Zayden.
Then, he advised, “Zayden, I know how to deal with women like her. Just freeze her card! I guarantee that she’ll come and apologize to you within. three days!”
Lailah’s good mood was ruined by Zayden and Tamara.
When she was about to go back to the box, her phone buzzed.
She took out her phone and found that it was a notification, saying that the supplemental card had been frozen.
Lailah was stunned for a second and then realized what had happened.
Zayden froze her card.
Over the years, she had been taking care of Krish at home and had no income. Thus, all her daily expenses were covered by Zayden’s

Lailah didn’t hold some unnecessary dignity and took Zayden’s money.
In the family, she was the housewife, and Zayden was the carner. So naturally, she could use Zayden’s money.
Looking at the text message on the screen, Lailah sneered coldly.
It looked like Zayden had started trying to punish and manipulate her.
While looking at her phone, Lailah walked back to her box.
Suddenly, someone bumped into her leg.
Lailah subconsciously lowered her head and saw that it was a five or six- year–old boy.
The boy was very good–looking, with delicate facial features and eyes like clear black gemstones.
However, his face was unhealthy pale.
Lailah had been studying traditional medicine for so long, so she could tell at a glance that this boy was in poor health.
Suddenly, the little boy looked up and said to Lailah, “You hit me. You need to be responsible for that.”
Lailah was stunned. Then, she crouched down and looked straight into the boy’s eyes.

The boy lowered his head and didn’t reply.
Lailah looked around and didn’t see any adults looking like this boy’s parents. So, she asked him gently, “Kid, what’s your name? Where are your parents?”
The boy looked up and said to Lailah again, “You hit me. You need to be responsible for that.”
Looking at the boy, Lailah asked tentatively, “Do you need me to take you to the hospital?”
The boy hesitated for a few seconds and then slightly nodded.
Lailah kept asking, “Do you need me to tell your parents first?”
This time, the little boy immediately shook his head, looking very unwilling.
Seeing this, Lailah frowned slightly, wondering, “Why doesn’t he want his parents to know? Has he been abused by his family?”
She decided to take this boy to the hospital first. If there were any serious wounds on his body, she would call the police then.
With this thought in mind, Lailah said to the boy softly, “Alright. I’ll say goodbye to my friend first, and then I’ll take you to the hospital, okay?”
With that, she took the little boy’s hand.
His hand was a bit cold, like Krish’s when he was in poor health before.
The doctor said that Krish was born with a weak body, and it couldn’t be cured in a short period of time, requiring long–term treatment.

She studied traditional medicine by herself and learned how to make herbal soup. She even made special diets for Krish every day.
Though she was very disappointed in Krish, she still couldn’t help but şoften her heart when she saw this little boy. Perhaps it was because she was also a mother.
The little boy was slightly stunned when his hand was held by Lailah.
Lailah’s hand was so soft and warm.
The little boy instinctively held her hand tighter and followed Lailah.
Seeing that he didn’t struggle or resist, Lailah lowered her head and gave him a gentle smile.
Somehow, the little boy suddenly lowered his head.
But Lailah didn’t think too much about it. She directly went back to the box with him.
Elyse had stopped singing and was now drinking. Seeing Lailah back, she called out, “Hey, Lili, you’re back. Come on! Let’s drink… Wait. Is that Krish?”
The light at the door was a bit dim. Elyse could only see that Lailah was holding a little boy’s hand but couldn’t see the boy’s face clearly. So, she thought that Krish had come to find Lailah.
But Lailah replied, “No. I accidentally bumped into him in the hallway.
He’s feeling a bit unwell. I’m gonna take him to the hospital.”
Under the dim light, Elyse finally saw the little boy’s face clearly.
Then she exclaimed, “Wow! What a pretty boy! His appearance is no inferior to Krish’s!”
Elyse briskly walked up to the little boy, wanting to pinch his little face.
But the boy avoided her hand with a cold face. He even hid behind Lailah, looking very unhappy.
Elyse was first stunned for a few seconds and then burst out laughing.
“He’s so cute!”
Lailah said to Elyse, “Stop it, Elyse. Maybe he doesn’t like others to pinch his face.”
Elyse didn’t mind it and asked Lailah, “Where are his parents? Is it okay for you to just take him away like this? It’ll be bad if others think that we’re some kidnappers.”
Hearing this, Lailah looked at the little boy and asked, “Kid, you really don’t need us to tell your parents…”
Before Lailah could finish speaking, the little boy subconsciously grasped her hand tightly, which even made her feel a bit of pain.
“No! Don’t tell them!” the little boy said.
Lailah gave Elyse a helpless look.
Elyse also sighed, saying, “Alright then. Let’s go to the hospital.”
Later, the two of them took the little boy to the hospital for a checkup.
There were no scars or signs of abuse on his body.
