Chapter 7
It was actually Shawn who kicked Jackson.
“Fun! So fun!”
As he spoke, he kicked several more times. Jackson got angry, and soon the two of them were fighting.
In the end, it was the police who came and separated them.
We all four went to the police station together.
While the police were questioning them, I went to the restroom at the
station.
At the sink, a man handed me a bag.
“I found the information you wanted. It’s all in here. There’s also an anti–eavesdropping phone inside.”
After I handed him the money wrapped in a black plastic bag from bag,
I turned and left.
Yes, all of this was intentional. I deliberately went to the restaurant where Jackson and Rosella were on a date.
I deliberately provoked their anger to make them hit me, so I could. come to the police station to meet my private investigator.
Because I knew the driver Harvey assigned to us, along with the two cars following nearby, were all monitoring me and Shawn’s every
move.

I had already prepared to get beaten up–I just didn’t expect Shawn to actually step in for me.
After the police mediated, we chose to settle.
Back at the Bradley’s residence. I immediately hid in the bathroom and opened my phone to check the information the private investigator
found.
It contained a background investigation on Jackson.
It turned out that he was the illegitimate son of the head of the Lockhart family, William Lockhart.
The document said his mom had a one–sided love for William and later
drugged him to get into his bed, resulting in her pregnancy with
Jackson.
Later, when William found out, he gave Jackson’s mom a sum of money and sent her abroad.
Jackson also took his mom’s surname because the Lockhart family never intended to acknowledge him.
Seeing this, everything immediately became clear to me.
Jackson must hold a grudge against the Lockhart family and wants to take it over.
But since he didn’t have strong backing, he set his sights on the Sullivan family, which was on par with the Lockhart family. Once he got the Sullivan family, he’d be able to compete with the Lockhart family and achieve all his goals.
If that were the case, then I had even more reason to give him a push.

Chapter 7
What followed was a pile of photos and videos.
The footage showed Rosella entering and leaving clubs with various
rich young men.
Dressed revealingly with heavy makeup, she looked utterly disgraceful.
I scoffed inwardly, “If Jackson saw that his so–called perfect woman. was actually this kind of junk, I wonder what expression he’d make.”
There was something else that caught my attention.
The investigation report showed that four years ago, Jackson had someone look for a girl from the Sullivan family wearing a white dress. Attached was a hand–drawn sketch of a necklace pendant.
My memory instantly came alive.
That pendant was one I designed and crafted myself during university. It had won the gold prize in the school’s jewelry design competition.
But after I returned to the Sullivan family, Rosella forcibly took it from me under the pretense of needing a meeting gift.
The necklace and the white dress brought back a sudden memory–four years ago, just after Carl had called me back to work at Sullivan Group, I had witnessed a serious car accident on the road.
The car was already catching fire, and I rushed over to pull the driver out of the seat.
Blood covered that person’s face, making it impossible for me to see his features. He only asked me what my name was. I said my surname was Sullivan, and then he passed out.

I had never given that incident much thought.
