Chapter 17
Quentin took a solid punch, and his nose seemed to be slightly deformed. He took several steps back, and blood instantly flowed from his nostrils. He touched it with his fingers and saw the crimson on hist fingertips, sneering, he turned and punched Carl.
Carl was unwilling to back down and fought back. The two tall men started fighting on the beach, throwing punches at each other, refusing to give in. This scared the onlookers, who screamed in fear.
Seeing Carl’s fist coming towards her, Jasmine exclaimed and
forcefully pushed him away. “Carl, are you crazy? I’ve already told you that we are divorced, it’s over.”
Quentin took several punches, blood came out from the corner of his mouth, which made Jasmine extremely distressed.
She carefully held Quentin’s face, her eyes filled with concern. “Quentin, does it hurt?”
Quentin held her hand and shook his head indifferently, “Jasmine,
don’t worry, I’m fine.”
Just after speaking, it seemed to have pulled on the wound, causing him to inhale a cold breath in pain.
“You said it doesn’t hurt, but you were bleeding a lot. Let’s go and bandage the wound first,” Jasmine’s voice became excited.
Seeing Jasmine only paying attention to Quentin, Carl felt his heart being torn apart, causing him unbearable pain that made it difficult for

him to breathe.
His face turned pale, “Jasmine, I was also injured.”
Jasmine used to be very concerned about him. Whenever he had any physical discomfort, Jasmine would get extremely worried.
But now, her concern was completely given to another man.
“What does it have to do with me if you got hurt? Carl, when I loved you before, you didn’t appreciate it, and now that I have finally found happiness, why are you back to bother me? Can’t you stand to see me doing well?” Jasmine shouted at Carl.
Carl shook his head weakly, “No, it’s not like that, Jasmine. I just wanted you to give me a chance to make it up to you.”
Jasmine took off the ice sleeve on her wrist, revealing the scar that had healed but would forever remain. She exposed it nakedly in front of Carl, saying, “Do you see this? This is the skin you forcefully peeled of my hand for Whitney. What right do you have to ask for a chance for me to compensate you? If you want a chance for me to compensate you, fine. But only if you go through every single suffering I have endured, will I consider whether or not to forgive you.”
Carl’s lips twitched, he wanted to say something, but in the end, he said nothing.
Because he also knew that no matter how he tried to remedy those wounds, they could not be repaired.
Jasmine didn’t expect to get an answer from Carl. Without even looking at him, she grabbed Quentin and left.
She went to the pharmacy and bought alcohol and cotton swabs to treat
Quentin’s wound.
“Why did you have to fight with Carl?” Jasmine asked, feeling sorry.
She moved gently, afraid of hurting Quentin.
Quentin pursed his thin lips, gently gripping Jasmine’s wrist and rubbing it like a cat. “Because I couldn’t bear it, Jasmine. You loved him for a whole ten years, and I was insanely jealous. Seeing him hurt you like that, it broke my heart. You were clearly my precious, held in the palm of my hand. How could he do so much harm to you?”
Upon hearing Quentin’s words, Jasmine was moved to tears. She sniffed and said, “It’s all in the past.”
“You will be the only one by my side in the future.”
