Chapter 25
Whitney’s child did not survive.
She was afraid that Matthew would blame her. The first thing she did when she woke up was to complain to Matthew, “Grandpa, it was Jasmine who pushed me down and caused me to lose the baby. She is so wicked.”
If Jasmine hadn’t been cautious, the person lying here now would be her.
Jasmine naturally wouldn’t indulge Whitney. “Fine, in that case, let’s check the surveillance footage. If it wasn’t me who pushed you, then I will have to accuse you of defamation. Defamation is a punishable offense in foreign countries, you know.”
She was just slightly startled, and Whitney tightly gripped the blanket in fear.
Seeing the situation, Matthew also roughly understood what was going on. He stared at Whitney with a sinister look, certain that she had intentionally provoked Jasmine. As a result, her attempt to gain an advantage backfired, and she ended up causing the loss of the Sinclair family’s only grandson.
Matthew was furious, he picked up a cane and swung it towards Whitney. He hit her repeatedly, causing her to scream in pain. She had just had a miscarriage and her body hadn’t fully recovered yet. Matthew knocked her unconscious with the force of his blows.
Jasmine had no interest in this farce, she took a glance and left.
Chapter 25
In the future, the Sinclair family had absolutely no connection with
her.
I can only say that Whitney brought it upon herself and couldn’t
survive.
Since that day, Jasmine has not heard from Carl. The only message she received was from a friend in America who called her one day and told her, “Jasmine, do you know about your ex–husband? He got fired from the hospital. It is said that he had an argument with a patient, and the patient went crazy and pulled down his pants. Seeing that he had nothing in front, it made him lose face and he ended up getting into a fight with the patient and got fired. Now the whole Los Angeles is laughing at him.”
Jasmine didn’t care about these things and was busy arranging her
dress in front of the mirror.
Today was her engagement banquet with Quentin, and she didn’t want anyone else to affect her mood.
She smiled faintly and said, “Carl has nothing to do with me anymore.”
“Because I met someone better.”
Upon hearing her words, the friend sensed her happiness and jokingly said, “Oh my, finding true love is something else. By the way, I heard that Carl’s beloved crush, Whitney, jumped off the roof of the building in Carl’s neighborhood a few days ago. She was completely crushed, it was so tragic. But everyone says Carl killed Whitney, although the police have investigated and said there was no problem at all.”
Jasmine listened without much reaction, everything has its own cause
and effect.
