It must be said that Eric really put a lot of effort into it. After seeing the wedding dress she brought, all the wedding dresses in her design proposal were generous, simple yet elegant. The wedding dress she originally chose, although from the best bridal shop in the city, was still too ordinary compared to the brochure in her hand.
She was about to discuss the details with Eric about her favorite one, when Adam’s exclusive ringtone suddenly rang.
It was an exclusive audio recording, which she had Adam record when they had just started dating.

Josie thought she had thrown away everything about Adam, but she didn’t realize she had missed this one.
“Don’t you want to answer? Eric looked up at his slightly hesitant fiancée.”
Josie shook her head. turned her phone upside down, and continued talking to him about the wedding dress. “I really like this one, but I think the neckline here..
She lowered her head and took another piece of paper to record the details. If she had looked up at that moment, she would have noticed that Eric’s attention was completely focused on her phone.

Josie had just opened her phone when Adam’s message came through.
“Josie, could you please answer the phone?”

Just as the phone was connected. Adam’s slightly anxious voice came through
“Josie. what’s going on with the police? Didn’t they already drop the case last time? Why are they here today to take Jessica away?”
After a moment of silence. Josie chuckled. “Did you call just to say that?”
“Stop messing around, Josie. I was just trying to help out a classmate. Jessica just returned to the country and her days are already tough. How can she stand with another stain on her reputation?”
“Didn’t we agree on this? After the cancellation, we will get married. Don’t you want to be with me anymore?”
Adam’s tone was extremely gentle. but Josie couldn’t help but laugh when she heard it.
“Adam, why haven’t you been coming home? Have you been staying at Jessica’s all this time?”
