Chapter 15
Caroline turned back in disbelief.
The place where she had just stood was already in a mess from being smashed.
The industrial light at the top of the stage fell down, smashing a deep hole into the wooden floor of the stage, along with long cracks.
And the person holding himself was Charleson, who had just rushed
- up.
He was hit on the leg by a falling lamppost, and the broken glass from the light bulb on the ground pierced Charleson and Caroline’s shins
and feet.
The entire stage was in a mess.
The backstage staff, classmates in the classroom, and audience members in the audience all rushed up.
Charleson held Caroline in his arms, asking her repeatedly if she was okay, but she seemed to be staring in one direction as if she had been scared stiff.
Following her gaze, Charleson saw the girl who had crashed into her while driving and later fought with her.
The girl seemed to look at them with disgust, then turned and walked. out of the auditorium. Following closely behind her was the boy from that day.
Not until she could no longer see their figures completely did Caroline seem to come back to life, turning to look at Charleson with the sadness and pain in her eyes undisguised.
“Charleson, I’m in so much pain… she said before passing out.”
“Caroline! Caroline! Charleson, ignoring the injuries on his legs and feet, scooped up Caroline and rushed towards the medical room.”
“Doctor, come and see how she is doing. There were no patients in the medical room, only a doctor busy writing something.”
Seeing them come in, their clothes were still covered in bloodstains.
The doctor quickly stood up and directed Charleson to put Caroline on the hospital bed.
After carefully inquiring about the situation, I checked Caroline and then said, “It’s okay, she just fainted from being scared.”
After finishing, he carefully treated the wound on Caroline’s leg, sighing as he removed the fragments, “How unlucky for a young girl. She just injured her hand in a car accident not long ago, and now she’s been hit by a lamp…”
Charleson’s eyes were dark and gloomy, with an expression on his face that was constantly changing.
Thinking back to the last car accident and this recent mishap, as well as that girl with a malicious look on her face.
Charleson thought that this might not have been a simple accident,

Just then, the doctor treated Caroline’s wound and bandaged her leg.
Seeing that Charleson’s leg was also covered in blood, he brought over another set of tools to help Charleson treat the wound.
“Young man, your injury is much more serious than that little girl’s…”
His legs were covered in large bruises from being hit, luckily no bones were injured, but his tendons were hurt. Despite that, he ran so far while carrying someone else, it’s a wonder he didn’t feel any pain.
The doctor carefully sprayed medicine on Charleson and bandaged his wounds, cleaning the injuries on his feet one by one.
Everything had been cleaned up one by one, and just as I turned around, I saw Caroline lying on the hospital bed opening her eyes.
Charleson immediately stood up and asked Caroline how she was feeling, if there was anywhere that hurt.
Caroline stared at him blankly, as if she hadn’t yet realized where she
was.
Suddenly she looked at the doctor in horror, trembling as she asked, “Doctor, my legs…”
The doctor didn’t react at first, with a puzzled look on his face he repeated her words, “Your leg….”
Before the words were finished, Caroline suddenly cried out in pain, I really couldn’t hold on…”
“I was in so much pain, Charleson… sob… Why? Why would you do this to me?!”

Charleson was startled and quickly stepped forward to hold the person whose shoulders were shaking from crying. He comforted her while asking, “Caroline, don’t cry. Are you feeling pain in your legs? Or is it somewhere else?”
Even the doctor was shocked by this. In theory, it shouldn’t have been that painful.
“Did you fall somewhere else? There’s just a little scrape on your leg. it’s not that bad…”
“External injuries? Caroline stopped crying, but her voice still trembled, tears falling down steadily.”
She
looked at the doctor and Charleson, suddenly realizing that this was the school infirmary.
“Yes, Caroline replied. With the doctor’s response, she lifted her blanket and looked at her small leg, which was wrapped in several pieces of gauze but was intact.”
Caroline relaxed for a moment, but couldn’t help but shed tears: “I thought I had lost my leg again… sob…”
