Chapter 11
Before long, the guests arrived one after another, most of them were well–known figures in Los Angeles.
Jonathan stood at the door welcoming guests, shaking hands with each person who approached.
“Mr. Remington, you really went all out. Hosting a banquet on Valentine’s Day, you must have some hidden surprise behind it, right?”
They joked, “Mr. Remington is really a devoted good man!”
“Shall we hold a bigger wedding banquet? We will definitely give bigger gifts as well.”

Jonathan smiled and calmly replied, “Once she agreed to marry me, immediately held the wedding.”

The guests nodded in approval and wished him good luck in the near future.
His group of friends stood not far away, their expressions becoming increasingly strange.
“Jonny’s acting skills are really top–notch! If I didn’t know about his plan, I would have believed it.”
Someone objected, “Jonny is too strange, this is not his usual way of doing things!”
The banquet officially began, with soft lighting and melodious music
playing.
The people present looked around, waiting for the protagonist of the banquet.
I waited for a long time, but Marissa never showed up.
Jonathan stood in the center of the venue, his eyes fixed on the entrance, feeling a surge of anxiety.
He took out his phone, found Marissa’s number, and was about to press the call button.
At that moment, the door was opened.
When the door was opened, a smile appeared on Jonathan’s lips.
But when he saw the newcomer, his eyes instantly turned cold.
It wasn’t Marissa who came, it was Christina.
She was wearing a gorgeous gown and had delicate makeup on, but her expression was very sad.
She pursed her lips and looked at Jonathan, walking towards him step by step.
Jonathan held her wrist tightly and said in a low voice, “Who told you to come here? I didn’t invite you.”
Christina held back her tears, her voice choked with emotion.
“I was your fiancée, why couldn’t I come to the big banquet you held for another woman?”
Jonathan was a little impatient and warned coldly, “Christina, stop causing trouble.”
Christina wanted to pull her hand back, but he held onto it tightly. She looked around the entire venue and spoke out loud.
“If I’m not mistaken, these flowers that fill the venue were air–shipped. from Holland, right?”
“In order to keep them fresh, you must have spent a lot of money on so many flowers.”
There is also this portrait, painted by a famous British artist. To find him, besides money, you also need to have fate.
“For that woman, you spent over a hundred million!”
Her voice was filled with resentment and anger, as if she wanted to vent all the grievances in her heart at once.
Jonathan’s face grew even uglier, and he suddenly let go of his hand.
The guests present began to whisper and discuss among themselves, and the atmosphere became awkward.
Jonathan’s group of friends noticed that things were not going right and quickly stepped forward.
They pulled Christina aside and whispered, “Ms. Tagina, why are you causing trouble again?”
Jonny and Chet had been feuding for so many years that two years ago, in order to get back at him, Jonny started dating his niece.
“We have already said this countless times, what do you really want!”

“Marissa is about to arrive soon, can you wait for Jonny to finish the plan before you talk to him?”
They chattered and flattered her, “Please, Ms. Tagina, Jonny has endured so much, you can’t let his plan go down the drain!”
Christina broke free from their grasp and shouted at the top of her lungs, “Why? I am his fiancée, yet I have to hide in the shadows.”
And she, just a tool being used, was enjoying everything that should have belonged to me.
“Jonathan, I want you to swear that you were just using her, you didn’t have any other feelings for her.”
She stared at Jonathan intently, as if trying to find the answers in his eyes to what was in his heart.
Jonathan remained silent; his eyes fierce as if Christina’s questioning was not directed at him.
The friends were anxious, and one of them pushed Jonathan, “Jonny, you better swear quickly! Don’t let her keep making a scene!”
“Jonny, what are you waiting for? Tell her again and make her believe you!”
“Oh, Jonny, what were you thinking…”
No matter what the person said, Jonathan never spoke, just looked at Christina coldly.
