The guests watching the ceremony were stunned.
“I heard there were serious issues inside the Blueclaw, but Queenie’s only daughter is supposed to take over, right?”
“Yeah, everyone knows Queenie only has one child–Stella Jimenez. Her name was even on the wedding invitation. Who’s this Skye?”
“She caused a scene and hurt Ms. Jimenez at her wedding. She’s done for.”
Fabian, Matthew, and Hugo looked uneasy at first, but they relaxed a bit after hearing the crowd’s chatter.
“Skye, what’s gotten into you? Get off the stage now!”
“I’m Stella’s husband, Fabian. I can vouch for her–she’s the rightful heir and this wedding was meant for her!”
“I’m Matthew, the Jimenez family’s eldest son. I watched Stella grow up. There’s no way we’re wrong!”
“I’m Hugo, her personal bodyguard. She’s the true heir. As for Skye, I’ve never seen her before.”
The three men stood shoulder to shoulder, shielding Stella and shooting me angry looks.

“Skye must be out of her mind. Sure, the Jimenez family has its fair share of handsome men, but that doesn’t mean she gets to set her sights on them.”
“For years, the Jimenez heir has been kept under wraps, but everyone knows the eldest son was Matthew, the future son–in–law was Fabian, and the heir’s personal bodyguard is Hugo. Everything they said is believable.”

I lifted my head and looked past the people blocking me, my eyes fixed on the man hurrying toward us.
“Luke, you’ve been with my mother for years. Surely you know who her real daughter is?”
Everyone turned to follow my gaze, whispering among themselves.
“Isn’t that Luke Zink, Queenie’s lover? What’s he doing here?”
“Something this big happens at a wedding. With Queenie being so sick, they had to send someone to take charge.”
Luke didn’t say anything at first. He rushed over, helped Stella to her feet, and glared at me.
“You wicked girl! How dare you try to take Stella’s place!
“Guys, tie her up! I’ll bring her back to Boss. She’ll deal with this wicked girl!”

I glared at Matthew with hatred.
