Chapter 2 Kick Her Out
Giselle washed up and went downstairs, only to see the servants. moving things around–things that women used.
“Are we having guests?” she asked.
No one answered.
Soon, a servant pushed a wheelchair in. The delicate, pretty woman sitting in the wheelchair was Tatiana, Fabian’s first love.
Two years ago, Tatiana had encountered a car accident and became a vegetable. The doctors said she might stay unconscious forever.
Fabian had gone to great lengths for her, even inviting countless world–renowned doctors. And now, she finally came around.
He took Tatiana back before getting a divorce. Obviously, he was forcing Giselle to step down.
Giselle’s heart ached again.
“Giselle, it’s been a while. Thanks for stepping in and taking care of Fabian over the past two years. You don’t have to trouble yourself anymore. Fabian didn’t do anything to upset you, did he?” Tatiana’s voice was affectedly sweet.
“No. He’s been good to me,” Giselle replied. She was telling the truth- Fabian was perfect, much gentler and more considerate than any other man, except that he didn’t love her.
In fact, she wished Fabian had upset her, which would have made it a lot easier when she left.
“I’m glad to hear that. Giselle, now that I’m back, I can take over. When are you gonna leave? I’ll have the housekeeper see you off.”
Though Tatiana was in a wheelchair, her aura was stronger than Giselle’s. Those who didn’t know would think she was the hostess here.
Just then, Fabian entered with Tatiana’s coat in hand.
“What are you guys chatting about?”
“We’re just catching up, Fabian. After two years, Giselle is even prettier. I’m so envious of her. When could I ever be as pretty as her?” Tatiana said with an innocent smile.
Fabian smiled at her dotingly and then turned to Giselle, saying, “Gigi, Tatiana’s the guest here. Why don’t you make us some breakfast? Tatiana loves seafood soup, which is your expertise.”
He knew Tatiana’s preferences so clearly. Sure enough, he loved Tatiana so much.

Since they were getting a divorce, Giselle figured she might as well. make him breakfast one last time.
When she was in the kitchen, Tatiana and Fabian were chatting happily in the living room. They looked like a loving couple.
Giselle’s heartache was killing her.
The seafood on the cutting board reeked of a strong fishy smell, which sickened her. She couldn’t help but crouch by the trash bin and retch.

The two were still talking, oblivious to what was going on.
After a while, she stood up, continued to cut the fish in a daze, and accidentally sliced her finger.
She screamed as the knife fell to the counter, causing a loud clang.
“Gigi? What happened?” Fabian rushed inside and saw blood oozing from her finger.
“Why were you so careless?” He grabbed her hand and rinsed the wound under running water.
She subconsciously pulled her hand away. Since they were getting a divorce, they shouldn’t do anything so intimate anymore, or Tatiana might get upset.
“Mr. Mercado, it’s Monday tomorrow, and the courthouse will be open. Let’s go there and finalize the divorce.”
Fabian was stunned for a second. Then he said, “I’ll be on a business trip tomorrow. We’ll do it after I’m back. Now, go deal with the wound. I’ll have Adeline take care of the breakfast.”
Adeline Stafford was one of the maids here. Giselle nodded and said, “OK.”
Fabian then continued, “Given Tatiana’s condition, I want her to stay here for a while. You can move to Brocade Villa if you want.”
“No. I’ll go back to my parents.” Giselle was deeply hurt. He didn’t. have to use such a clumsy excuse to kick her out. She’d leave anyway.
She had already decided to move out today.
