Aliana gazed at the camera, her eyes brimming with devotion, as if she could see her beloved through the screen, bridging the gap between them.
The segment ended suddenly, and before Athena could fully comprehend it, Emmett had already. changed the channel with practiced nonchalance.
“It’s probably fabricated. Celebrities love to spin romantic tales,” he commented, touching his nose in his usual manner. Tossing the remote aside, he added with a grin, “Who cares about their romance anyway? Ours is superior, childhood sweethearts, an unbreakable connection, meant to be together!”
Emmett likely didn’t realize it, but Athena had long noticed his habit, a subtle nose touch he couldn’t resist when fibbing.
