“It’s fine if you don’t know him now–you’ll get to know him later.” With that, Sophia took the little girl by the hand and headed toward the activity area. The staff member was a little confused but hurried to catch up.
As they got closer, Sophia could make out Freya’s face more clearly. Her brow furrowed, then smoothed out. Of course. Just like in the novel, the so–called old Freya was made exceptionally beautiful–probably to better contrast with her own elegant and intellectual image as the female lead. But why did this woman, who was supposed to be dressed like some sultry vixen, now look so wholesome? Where did it all go wrong?
No matter how she thought about it, Sophia couldn’t figure it out. Could it be that my arrival has caused a butterfly effect, throwing things off track? By the original story’s timeline, Louis should’ve already divorced Freya by now.
If not for the fact that she’d been waiting and waiting for the plot to move forward, she never would’ve bothered sending her niece to this school just to build a connection with Louis‘ only weakness–his nephew. According to the novel, she should’ve met Louis for the first time last month.
But whatever the reason, she needed to make contact to understand what was happening. Sophia took a deep breath and continued forward with the little girl.
That’s right–Sophia was also someone who had transmigrated into this world. When she realized it was the setting of a novel she’d read before, she immediately decided to follow the original plot and win over Louis, the male lead. Just like in the book, she’d live a life of luxury and be loved by a powerful man. And the character she’d transmigrated into? None other than the female lead herself–Sophia, same name and all.
Freya, meanwhile, had only read the first book and didn’t know it was part of a series. Louis had been the villain in the first installment–but he was the male lead in the second. That was the real reason Louis, despite being labeled a villain, had such outstanding character and capabilities.
Unaware she’d altered the story’s trajectory, Freya was happily playing with Aiden when a staff member came over and interrupted them.
“You must be Aiden’s guardian? Hello, I’m one of the school’s guides. Over there is a new student named Summer. She’s a bit shy and said she wanted to make friends with Aiden. Would you mind if we introduced them?”
Freya looked in the direction the woman was pointing and saw a beautiful woman holding the hand of an adorable little girl. The woman looked familiar, but Freya couldn’t quite place where she’d seen her before.
The woman was smiling at her politely, while the little girl pouted, clearly not in the mood.
“Oh, of course,” Freya said as she stepped off the seesaw and motioned for Aiden to come with her.,
It’s totally normal for a kid to be nervous when switching schools. Since the other party had taken the initiative to reach out, there was no reason to reject them outright. It was just a quick introduction–what harm could it do?
Aiden, clearly reluctant, still held Freya’s hand as they walked toward the girl he already didn’t like very much.
“Hello, I’m Sophia, and this is my niece, Summer. She just transferred in today and feels a bit anxious in this new environment. The moment she saw your son, she really warmed up to him. I hope they can be friends. I’m sorry to bother
with this.”

“Not at all! It’s totally understandable–kids often get nervous in unfamiliar places. We’re happy to help however we can. And our Aiden is always eager to lend a hand.”
