Chapter 10
Chapter 10
“Homer, I can’t swim.” Ash looked up, smiling faintly.
It was not that she could not swim. She just did not want to swim. Moreover, if she swam, her identity might get exposed.
Her smile carried a hint of rebelliousness.
Homer had wanted to say, “I can teach you if you don’t know,” but seeing hiscool and distant demeanor, he wisely nodded in agreement. He did not want to offend Ash, who seemed to be a dangerous character.
“Sure, whenever you want to learn, I will be ready to teach you.”
“Thank you, Homer.”
“What’s there to thank me for? I’ll go swimming on my own then.” Homer waved his hand.
As soon as he stepped out of Ash’s room, the door closed with a loud thud.
Homer touched his nose, feeling a bit bewildered. Now he understood that Ash had a fiery temper.
After closing and locking the door, Ash stretched her neck and flexed her muscles before walking over to the window and drawing the curtains shut.
The truth was, she was an excellent swimmer.
King had taught her how to swim when she was just three years old. By the age of 10, she could already swim across the Angulus Channel alongside King, beating the youngest recorded crosser in world history by a year.
However, Ash did not let anyone know this thing, so her achievement went unnoticed.
The reason she had turned down Homer just now was that she was a girl, after all.
Ash strolled around the room. Seeing no hidden cameras or listening devices, she finally took out a set of clean clothes and her chest binder from her bag. Luckily, she was flat–chested to begin with, and the binder flattened her even more.
She took a shower in the bathroom. When she came out, her phone, which had been placed on the table, rang. It was a text message from Vera.
[Mr. Feron, I’ve completely changed your profile, and I’ve tampered with your DNA to change your gender to male. The health clinic has also been informed and is on the same page.]
[Thank you for your hard work.]
Ash replied with a simple message before tossing her phone onto the couch and going to dry her hair.
At dinner that evening, everyone from the different rooms gathered around a large table meant for 20 people, but there were only eight seated.
The female members of the family avoided sitting next to Ash, but Homer was more than happy to be close to her, sitting by her side.
Wesley sat alone, exuding a powerful aura that kept others at a distance.
“Wesley, what are your plans regarding Ash’s schooling?” Sirena asked, though, in truth, she did not really care about Ash’s education. After all, it had nothing to do with her. But being the head of the family, she was responsible for overseeing all household matters, so it was only natural for her to inquire about Ash’s schooling. Her question was just a perfunctory gesture, and there was no genuine concern in her tone.
Wesley ate his meal gracefully, savoring each bite before putting down his forks and replying, “I plan to send Ash to Welling Private School.
“Welling? That’s a good choice. It happens to be the same school as Truman, Zelda, and Sandra,” Sirena said.
Originally, she stood on the side of Chelsea. But seeing Wesley protective of Ash earlier, she changed her stance temporarily. After all, as a mother, she could not go against her son’s wishes, no matter what he thought.
Upon hearing that Ash was also going to Welling Private School, Sandra became anxious.
“Wesley, are you letting him attend the same school as us? Can he keep up? I’m afraid he’ll embarrass our family if he ranks at the bottom in every subject.
‘Sis…”
“Did I say something wrong? Our school is one of the top aristocratic schools in the country. Students who go there not only need noble backgrounds but also genuine talent. With him, I doubt he could even pass the school interview.”

Sandra’s eyes were full of superiority, and her tone was filled with disdain. Ash paid no attention and focused on eating her meal, not bothering to respond.
In Ash’s eyes, Welling Private School was hardly worth mentioning.
She had attended the world’s top–ranked private school since she was young and skipped from first grade to sixth grade directly. In middle school and high school, she completed all the courses in just two years.
At the age of 13, she was accepted into Hallmark, and at 17, she earned her dual master’s degrees. This even made headlines in Maqiland, where she was hailed as a prodigy, though people in Zepplinland might not be aware of this accomplishment.
Now, at 18, there was really no need for her to attend any school. However, hearing Sandra’s contemptuous words, she immediately changed her mind. She decided she must attend this school now.
