At least now she had the money for groceries.

Upon learning that Isabelle was heading to the market, some people followed, insisting on helping her. “I can recommend at few places where the produce is fresh and delicious, and there’s one stall where the meat is both cheap and fresh.”
“I’ll go too, I haven’t bought my vegetables for lunch yet.”
Isabelle was almost escorted by a group of enthusiastic ladies as she entered the market.
The ladies were so eager to assist that Isabelle ended up buying one pound of brisket, half a pound of beef, half a pound of lean pork, four tomatoes, two heads of lettuce, and half a pound of chili peppers…
With everything combined, including seasonings, it all cost only 21 dollars, leaving her with 1 dollar change.
After Isabelle finished her shopping, Parker finally spoke up, “Isabelle, did you forget? You need to buy groceries according to the guests‘ preferences.”
“They place their orders, and you need to meet their requests.”
“Why didn’t you say that earlier?” Isabelle glanced at Parker.
Is he doing this on purpose?
“The residents were too enthusiastic earlier, you didn’t give me a chance to speak,” Parker said defensively.
But Isabelle knew it was likely Indigo’s idea not to tell her.
“Fine.” Isabelle wasn’t upset.
She borrowed a shopping cart from one of the ladies, loaded it with groceries, and headed back to the convenience store.
At the Velkara Powell family home, Dakota Powell returned from fishing, while Reese was watching a reality show on her phone.
“Reese, take the fish to the kitchen and prepare it for soup at lunch,” Dakota instructed, usually not strict with the housekeeper, who was lively and efficient.
Reese occasionally watched TV, and Dakota never commented on it.
“Alright, Mr. Dakota,” Reese immediately took the fish but didn’t take her eyes off her phone.
She was watching a scene where Isabelle was checking the pulse of Zion.
Dakota glanced at the screen, “I can’t understand what you young people watch these days.”
“Mr. Dakota, you might not know, but this reality show is quite popular lately because this Isabelle, who started off as a noble from a wealthy family, turned out to be a usurper, an imposter. And the girl who joined the show with her is actually the real noble from the Powell family. After finding out she was the real noble, Isabelle pushed her into a swimming pool, almost drowning her. I didn’t like her at first, but today, she seems quite likable. I don’t know if Indigo gave her the script to perform the hardest tasks, but she cleverly managed to complete them.”
Reese explained in a few words, but Dakota caught a glimpse of a small red mole at the corner of Isabelle’s eye and was lost in thought.
“Reese, what’s this girl’s name? Why did she become a fake noble?”
Dakota’s expression was unusual, his voice tinged with excitement.
“She’s Isabelle. Apparently, there was a mix–up at birth, and she’s now returned to her biological parents. But, I find her biological parents odd. They don’t treat her as well as her foster parents did, and her dad almost assaulted her in her room last night. It doesn’t sound like they’re treating their own daughter. Plus, her biological parents don’t look like her at all. She’s so beautiful, but her biological parents are quite ordinary.”
“Yes, she’s beautiful,” Dakota echoed, then asked, “Do you have a photo of her biological parents?”

“They appear in the live feed, I’ll find it for you,” Reese said, not sure why Dakota was curious.
Roy and Libby’s appearances truly did not resemble Isabelle’s.

“They really don’t look alike,” Dakota commented after seeing the feed showing the dark figure at Isabelle’s bedside last night, which made him shiver.
“This couple, they definitely aren’t her biological parents,” Dakota asserted confidently!
Reese agreed, “You’re right, it’s just unclear if the Powell family has done a paternity test with Isabelle and the Frye family.”
If they had, the truth would come out. Dakota went upstairs and dug out two photos.
One was an old black–and–white photo of his wife; the other showed a striking couple.
He showed them to Reese, “Look, does she resemble my wife?”
Evelyn was a beauty in her youth and well–matched to Dakota. However, she passed away early, not long after giving birth to their younger son.
For many years, Dakota rarely let anyone see his wife’s photo.
Because that was a memory that belonged solely to him.
