Chapter 25 I’ll Win Her Heart
Eliana clenched her fists, trying hard not to lash out.
This guy was the Gallagher playboy, Kelton, the same man Eliana’s brother wanted her to marry.
If it were just for the arranged marriage, she wouldn’t be this mad.
The real reason was that Kelton had been calling her ugly since they were five. Worse, he had gone around saying he’d rather die than marry her.
Well, the feeling was mutual.
If his father hadn’t been her father’s mentor, she’d have taught this jerk a lesson long ago.
Across from her, Kelton kept rambling, completely unaware of how fast her expression was changing. He didn’t recognize Eliana at all.
“Can I maybe get your number?” he said, only to get smacked in the face by a handkerchief Eliana tossed. By the time he looked up, he found the girl of his type had stormed off.
He was confused by Eliana’s quick, angry stride.
“What was that about?” he muttered, still holding the tear–stained handkerchief. “Did I do something wrong?”
Kelton stood there for a long while, dazed, then narrowed his eyes and smiled. “She’s got fire. I like that.”
Right away, he dropped a message in his group chat.
Kel: “Great News! I’ve found my love!”

Kel: “Yes! That’s the type I’m talking about! Cold, classy, badass! I found her!”
Kel: “This time it’s real love, I swear!”
Brayan: “Cut the act. We all know you too well. Not buying it.”
Kel: “Come on, maybe she’s the one! Maybe I’ll finally settle down and become a model citizen!”
Xavier: “Odds are worse than winning the lottery.”
Kel: “I’m betting on it! I’ll win her heart in a month. Just wait, I’ll post our. pic in the group and make you all jealous.”

In the study of the Harrell’s house, Eliana handed a beautifully crafted wooden box to Trystan.
“Trystan, I got the pocket watch from the auction.”
“Thanks.” Trystan took it, barely glancing away from the news on his tablet.
“I never knew you liked vintage stuff,” Eliana said.
“It’s for a friend,” Trystan said flatly, not looking up.
Eliana sat on a chair and rested her chin in her palm, eyes gleaming with curiosity. “What friend? Come on, tell me.”
The pocket watch had a feminine design. Trystan was serious, distant, and rarely around women. He suddenly asked her to bid on something

like that. Something was up.
Trystan couldn’t take her pestering anymore. He put the tablet down. “Bruno asked me to get it for his mother.”
“Bruno?” Eliana blinked, trying to match the name to a face.

“You’ve met him a few times. Does the name ring a bell?” Trystan asked.
She nodded but then shook her head. “Yeah… But we’re not really close.”
All she remembered was that Bruno came from a single–parent family and had taken over his father’s company young. To her, he was stiff and serious, like an old–school man. They hadn’t interacted much.
Just then, the butler knocked and stepped in.
“Mr. Harrell, the CEO of the Hogan Group from Steelville is here in person. Mr. Hogan is asking to see you.”
Eliana sneered inwardly. Xavier was getting desperate.
“He didn’t work out with Kelton, so now he’s showing up himself?” Trystan’s face turned cold, irritation flickering in his eyes. “Tell him I
won’t see him.”
“But…”
“But what?”
“But Sir Gallagher came with him. He insists you meet.”
Trystan didn’t care about Xavier, but Leonel was his father’s mentor. He couldn’t ignore Leonel.
His expression tightened before he stood up. “Invite them to the hall. I’ll
come in a second.”

He said to Eliana, “It’s not a good time for you to see them. Leave it to
me.”
Eliana nodded. Her eyes were dim.
