She decided to throw all her rage at me. “You started it! It was always you!”
“I heard it was just a few photos, and you went off the deep end with divorce!”
“You think you would be where you are if it wasn’t for this family and my son?!”
“Just go and make a statement that says that you were the problem!”
I almost forgot, Liam inherited his mom’s artistic talent.
They both thought I didn’t understand art, and that I was overreacting.
“I’m not doing that,” I said, flatly. “I didn’t do anything wrong.”
“And even if I had, it’s not your place to dictate what I do.”
“How dare you!” Liam’s mom was furious, and chucked her teacup right
at me.
I wasn’t fast enough to dodge it and the hot tea splashed all over my hand.
Liam just watched me, eyebrows furrowed. He didn’t even try to stop her.
Sarah just stared at me, smiling like this was funny.
Liam’s mom went for another attack, but this time I grabbed the teapot and
threw it back at her.
