Chapter 17
Austin heard it, but he was just a little timid for a moment.
He was afraid that after putting in all his thoughts and efforts to finally find her back, she was no longer willing to forgive him, fearing that all the efforts he had made during this period would ultimately be in vain.
Alyssa had actually taught herself Dimiliroese long ago, which truly caught him by surprise, but upon careful consideration, he could probably guess her
intentions.
His brother had said “Dimiliroese” in front of Alyssa more than once. At that time, he always said it was because they had spent a long time in Dimiliro, so they were used to speaking Dimiliroese. Every time this happened, she would become the only person present who did not understand Dimiliroese, and also the only one excluded.
She also said she wanted to learn Dimiliroese because she said she wanted to blend in with his circle, she said she didn’t want to be an outsider in his
world.
What did Austin say at that time?
He said, “It’s okay not to understand, it’s okay not to have common topics with those people, as long as they have each other, it’s enough,” and so they just went through it perfunctorily.
He never imagined that she had secretly learned Dimiliroese by herself.
He underestimated Alyssa’s love for him and overestimated his love for Alyssa. But now he really knows he was wrong. He has also completely cut off ties with Maggie. But what about her? Will she still be willing to forgive him?
Austin didn’t know.
At a loss, his phone suddenly rang, it was his assistant calling. When he answered, he heard a cautious voice on the other end.
“Mr. Burton, there are people from the Burton family here to see you. We really can’t delay any longer…”
Austin let out a deep breath, and finally regained some composure after the phone call.
He couldn’t continue to deteriorate like this, nor could he continue to hide in Torrelma. The Burton Group and Alyston Group were still in his hands. Even if he gave up the Burton Group, he couldn’t ignore Alyston Group.
That was, after all, the company that witnessed his love with Alyssa.
“Tell them I went back today.”
After getting the accurate answer, the assistant finally breathed a sigh of relief. She hung up the phone and then looked at Austin’s parents in the living room, who were looking grim. “I have already told Mr. Burton, and he said he will be back today.”
During the time Alyssa stayed in Torrelma and returned to her home country in Austin, she explored the entire Dimiliro on her own. She visited Mazarbo, Ymismos, the world–famous water city Vyrofka, and the fashion capital Portintes.
Just as she was about to forget about Austin, she suddenly received a payment message.
After a long pause, she remembered that she had used this card some time ago, which may have given him the opportunity to take advantage of it.
Alyssa frowned and, not wanting to have any more entanglements with him, went to the bank and transferred the remittance back.
When I returned to the hotel in the evening, I couldn’t help but sigh again.
When she canceled her identity information at first, she wanted to make sure that he could never find her again, but now it seems that her whereabouts have still been exposed.
But she couldn’t just hide in a corner forever just because of an Austin in her life.
“If she was going to be found in the end, she thought, she might as well settle down in her favorite city.”
Alyssa didn’t stay in Dimiliro for long. The day after receiving that remittance, she bought a plane ticket to the next city. She had many places she wanted to visit, and she wanted to truly find herself in Austin before going to more places and doing more things she wanted to do.
Perhaps it was also because she quickened her pace that she had not encountered him or his people all the way.
But what Alyssa didn’t know was that every time she left a city, Austin would soon show up at the hotel where she was staying. Chapter 17
