Six months later, Brittany couldn’t earn enough
money for Chad to waste. After going to my
parents‘ house and getting beaten up by the
bodyguards and security guards she had

bodyguards and security guards, she had
nowhere to turn. She blocked my car again.
I was afraid Brittany would try to blow me up
again. Chad suddenly appeared and pressed me
back into the car.
He pulled my hand with a look of love.
“Summer, I know everything. I won’t make that
mistake again.”
I put a hand on my pregnant belly. “What do
you know?”
He noticed my stomach and slapped Brittany.
“You said Stuart couldn’t do it! Whose baby is
Summer carrying?”
Brittany said, “That’s impossible. He never
touched me last time. No matter how much I
seduced him, he wasn’t interested. That’s
because he can’t do it!”
She pointed at me, annoyed. “Tell me, whose baby is this? Are you cheating?”
So she’d had it out with Chad. What an idiot!
“I didn’t cheat. This baby is Stuart’s. I don’t
know why he didn’t touch you, but he and I are
doing just fine in that area.”
“You bitch! How could you!” Brittany was
jealous and tried to slap me.
I changed the subject. “The Huntington family
only has one heir for nine generations. Stuart
cares about this child. If you want money, you
can use us. You can have as much as you want.
But if something happens to us and you piss
off Stuart, you’ll both die.”
Brittany pulled her hand back. Chad slapped her
again. “I won’t let you hurt Summer! Summer,
don’t worry. I’ll protect you, no matter whose
child you’re carrying.”

Brittany scoffed. “Stop acting. You think she’d let Stuart go and take you? Tie her up and take her back so you can ask Stuart for money.”
I looked at Chad, acting touched. “You still care
about me?”
Chad shouted, “Of course! The person I’ve always loved is you!”
Brittany was shocked. “Wait, you love her. What
am I?”
Chad raised his hand, scaring Brittany into
ducking inside the car.
He looked around at the people and said,
“Summer, I’ll take you home.”
Then he threw both phones out of the car and
turned off the car’s GPS. He helped me to the
passenger seat and drove off.

I didn’t resist. I followed them back to Chad’s
village.

Actually, there was still a tracker in my earring.
As long as I turned it on, Stuart would know I
was in trouble.
But I didn’t want to get him involved. Since these two were coming after me again, I might
as well settle the scores from last time.
