Chapter 4
Brendan once told her, “I owe you a life. You can ask me to do anything.”
Nobody else knew about this debt. Just the two of them.
So after she was reborn, she went straight to him.
She said, “Please help me.”
Then she told him her plan.
If Arnold wasn’t going to marry her, and the wedding couldn’t be canceled–then fine. She’d marry someone even more powerful!
Brendan agreed.
He even helped convince Ranger.
The old man had always doted on her, and this wedding had been something she insisted upon.
But now, instead of marrying Arnold, she had chosen Brendan.
Brendan had no problem with it. And Grandpa didn’t object either.
“You sure about this?” Brendan stood up.
He wore a perfectly tailored suit, nearly 6’3“, with broad shoulders and a trim waist. His presence filled the room.
“Yeah,” Gianna nodded.
She was actually a little nervous.
She had once saved Brendan’s life, which is why he said he owed her.
But Brendan wasn’t just anybody. He was a man many feared.
Still young, but already the one in charge of the entire Walsh family empire.
No one in the capital dared cross him.
When she asked him to be her groom, she honestly didn’t expect him to say yes.
Let alone help her plan everything alongside the old man.
After all, he was still Arnold’s uncle.
For her wedding with Arnold to become a wedding with his uncle… there’d be
But Brendan said he didn’t c care. Nobody dared talk behind his back anyway.
Brendan walked up to her and held out his arm.
“Let’s go.”
It took her a second to realize–he wanted her to take his arm.
They linked arms and walked to the banquet hall entrance.
The staff had worked fast. The big wedding photo outside–the one with her and Arnold–had

But Brendan naa insisted on taking real wedding photos with ner.
And now they were being used for real.
Inside the banquet hall, the guests still had no idea what was going on.
Her father, Yahir Carlton was supposed to walk her down the aisle. But when he turned and saw her coming in with Brendan–dressed clearly as the groom–he froze.
“Mr. Curtis? What… What are you doing here?”
“The groom belongs here, doesn’t he?” Gianna looked up and said. “You don’t need to walk me down anymore. We’ve got it covered.”
“Gianna, what kind of nonsense is this? Where’s Arnold?”
“You must be confused. I’m marrying Brendan. What’s Arnold got to do with it?”
Yahir looked stunned.
Don’t believe me? Look.”
Gianna pointed at the giant poster beside them.
He turned to look. When he saw Brendan’s face on it, his whole body jolted.
He rushed up, checking every detail. Yep–it was definitely Brendan.
He turned to look at Brendan, then back at the poster.
Right then, Rosie walked out too.
When she saw Gianna on Brendan’s arm, her eyes narrowed in shock. But she quickly hid her expression.
“Sis, Arnold’s still not back?”
“What are you gonna do? You can’t exactly have a wedding alone, right?”
“If you go through with this without a groom, you’re gonna be the laughingstock of the whole city. I’ve never heard of a bride getting married without a groom!”
“And Arnold ran off to be with his first love now. What are you gonna do, huh?
