My vision was getting blurry as more tears formed. I wiped them away and saw Luke starting to walk towards me. “NO! don’t come anywhere near me
“Ellie, I’m sorry-”
“No Lake! I thought you were my friend!” I shouted
*1am Ellie, I’m your best friend” He said continuing to walk towards me.
“Do you even hear yourself right now? What kind of friend does this to someone? What kind of BEST friend makes out with their friends sworn enemy??” Luke kept quiet. “That’s what I thought. I can’t believe you!” I shouted as I storied out of his room.

I saw Coney and ran up to him. When he saw my face he was one second away from shifting, “NO COREY!” I was honestly not in the mood. He instantly calmed down and looked at me weirdly. I just shrapped it off and got down to the point. “Corey did Javier find his mate?” I asked casually so he didn’t suspect a thing
“Yeah, he told the whole pack just a few minutes before you came, Why?” he said furrowing his eyebrows.
Oh dann what do I say? He can’t find out or he’ll go ape shiz, and trust me, nothing will end well if he does. “Uhh I just wanted to know who our new Luna was so I can congratulate her.” I said like I was trying to convince myself rather than him as my wolf Caroline was growling, thinking of ways she could all Maya. “Okay? you do that then.” Corey said just as confused as I was. “Ellie are you alright?”

hear him as I was trying to calm my wolf down. Man, she was thirsty… thirsty for Maya’s blood. I snapped out of the inner battle with my wolf when my brother flicked my forehead. “Ow! Why?” I yelled pressing my forehead.
“Because you we’re so out of it you didn’t even realise I was talking to you!” he said amused.
“OR! maybe I heard you but didn’t pay attention to it.” I retorted back.
“Yeah, you keep telling yourself that Ellie. Anyways it’s 12am now so I’m going to head home. What about you?” he said looking at his wristwatch
I looked around the room for Crystal. I hope she’s not drunk lying on the floor somewhere. “Uhh, I’m going to spend the night here. I need to look for Crystal anyway, so just tell Mum and Dad I’ll be home in the afternoon.” I said. Corey glared at me. “Corey don’t worry I’m not going to come home hungover. I’m still 15 and I have some dignity gosh brother I thought you’d have some faith in me.” I said shocked.
“Ellie I do have faith in you-” “Ha got ya! I was just joking. I know you’re just looking out for me since I’m your baby sis and bla bla bla.” I said rolling my
eyes.
“That’s right! And if any guy tries to hit on you or messes with you I will find out, and I’ll kick their ass.” He said all serious now. I just kissed his cheek and pushed him in the direction of the door.
Like I haven’t heard that speech before.
