CHAPTER 15
Jul 10, 2025
Her lips were soft against mine, but the way she kissed me held nothing back. It was deep and messy, like something she’d been starving for, like letting go of this—of us—would be the end of her. I matched it with everything I had.
Her hands, small and trembling, fisted in my shirt, tugging me close until there was no space left between us. I could feel the rise of her chest against mine, her breath stuttering in sync with mine. She wasn’t holding back. Neither was I.
I cupped her face, brushing my thumb across her cheekbone. She was delicate, but there was a fire in her—sharp and demanding. She kissed me like she was fighting to feel something that couldn’t be taken from her, like she wanted to burn down the moment and rebuild it from scratch.
“Kate,” I murmured, my voice tight, as I broke the kiss for a breath.
She didn’t let me go far. “Don’t stop,” she whispered, her eyes pleading, her voice rough. “I don’t want gentle tonight.”
“Okay,” I said, barely breathing. “I’ve got you.”
She climbed into my lap like it was instinct. Her thighs tucked around me, her heat pressing against my stomach, making my whole body respond. My hands slid down her back, fingers curling at her waist as I stared up at her, trying to memorize the flush on her cheeks, the way her chest rose and fell so fast.
“I needed to feel you,” she whispered, eyes locked on mine.
“I’m right here,” I said, dragging my hands up under her shirt. “I’ve always been here.”
Her breath hitched as I lifted the fabric. She raised her arms, letting me strip it away. She sat bare above me, and I swear, the sight of her knocked the breath right out of my lungs.
“You’re so beautiful,” I said. She rolled her eyes, but the way her breath caught gave her away.
I leaned up and kissed her—slower this time. Deep. Meaningful. My hands cupped her waist as she rocked her hips against mine, her soft moan spilling into my mouth. I groaned as she pressed harder, her thighs clenching, the friction unbearable and perfect.
She tugged at the hem of my shirt, and I pulled it off, our skin brushing with every movement. Her hands moved over my chest, exploring, grounding herself. I let her. Wanted her to feel everything.
Her fingers dipped below my waistband, and I shivered. Her touch wrapped around me—tentative at first, then more sure, more hungry. My head dropped against hers, our foreheads pressed together, breaths tangled.
“Liam…” she breathed, shifting slightly.
“I’ve got you,” I said again, my voice breaking.
She positioned herself, her body trembling. I steadied her hips as she sank down, taking me inside her inch by inch. Her gasp echoed in my chest. Mine followed.
It was too much and not enough, perfect and impossible all at once. She was warm, tight, and so achingly close I couldn’t tell where she ended and I began.
“Oh my God,” she whispered, her voice wrecked.
“You okay?”
She nodded, eyes squeezed shut. “Don’t move. Not yet.”
I stayed still, hands smoothing up her sides. “Take your time.”
She began to move, slow and searching, her fingers digging into my shoulders. I held her close, letting her guide us, letting her claim me one slow thrust at a time. Her hips rolled with growing confidence, and I met each motion, our bodies finding rhythm in the chaos of everything else.
“You feel…” she trailed off, moaning instead. “God, Liam.”
“Tell me,” I whispered, kissing the curve of her neck.
“Full. So full. So—” She gasped as I thrust up gently, her body shaking in my arms.
“Like that?”
“Yes.” Her voice was thick with emotion. “Just like that. Again.”
We moved together, slow but desperate, mouths barely leaving each other’s skin. I could feel her walls flutter around me, the heat of her building with every shift, every whispered name, every stolen breath.
“I don’t want this to end,” she said against my shoulder.
“Then don’t let it.”
Her pace grew frantic, her thighs tightening around me, her hands clawing for something to hold onto as she came apart in my arms.
“I’m—Liam—” she gasped, and then she was shaking, falling, moaning into my mouth as she shattered.
I held her through it, my own body pulsing with the need to follow. I barely lasted a few more thrusts before I was there with her, lost in the same storm.
After, we didn’t speak. Not right away. She stayed wrapped around me, her face tucked into my neck, and I just held her. My heart was still racing. My chest tight.
“Don’t let this ruin everything,” she whispered.
“It won’t,” I promised. “You and me? We’re stronger than one night.”
She looked up at me, cheeks flushed, eyes soft. “You promise?”
I kissed her forehead. “Yeah. I promise.”
